JESSICA HOLOGRAM CHIC & HITS APOLO

I've decided to take advantage of the sunny weather were getting here, it probably won't last so we have to make the most of it !
So for this mani I did one coat of no7 Poolside Blue and the pinky, ring and thumb and then I layered 2 coats of Hits Apolo over the top, then on the other fingers I used 2 coats of Jesicca Disco Diva, I decided to test out the Retro Revival base coat and used it for the middle finger and I can say it definitely improves application and you can already start to see some tipwear on the pointy finger !
Finally I used poolside blue to stamp on a bow and then I stamped over it with Hits Apolo, it was meant to look like a shadow to get a 3d effect, but you can see it just looks like dodgy stamping loll !
I also used Gosh Holographic to stamp the dotty bow on the thumb but it wasn't very good !

I loved this mani soo much I loved the colours, Disco Diva is absolutely gorgeous I was blown away by how holo it was, seriously this definitely rivals Gosh Holographic, I haven't done a comparison yet but I will do for you !

I had tried the blue layering to get a ds glamour (huge lemming) dupe but it didn't work, if anybody knows a good layering combo for a ds dupe please let me know !

BLUE GRADIENT FRAMED/ BORDER NAILS

Hi guys, how are you all? I'm so happy you all liked my previous post and I'm glad it brought a smile to your faces : )
Anyway on to todays nails, I decided to combine 2 of the most recent infectious nail trends : frames and gradients !

It didn't work out exactly how I wanted it to, I think the shift between colours isn't subtle enough but I didn't want to do loads of frames because this mani took about an hour to do and I only did these fingers ! lol !
Anyway I started with 2 coats of models own baby blue as a base coat and then I used no7 poolside blue and a tiny brush to paint on the first border, then I used an acrylic paint for the next border and then finally I used Barry M Pure turquoise for the final border and voila !

My Seche Vite has got really thick now and it made loads of tiny bubbles on my nails, which tbh weren't noticable irl.

Do you guys like it? Anyways I'll talk to you all soon guys, toodles : )

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 30 - INSPIRED BY A TUTORIAL

easy peasy lemon squeezy who's tutorial i was going to use , this is all thanks to nailside's tutorial : )
i'd have loved to do the explosion mani and tried twice and failed so badly, i went with this !
pointer finger and accent are no7 poolside blue and the middle and pinky are misa throw me something purple !
grey is avon wet cement, which is a matte and dries before you've put the brush back in the bottle, which may be the reason my lines aren't very good and the tiny bit of green is revlon emerald city matte

lines are no where near as crisp as hers or neat loll, i am clearly a novice when it comes to tape mani's loll, but practise makes perfect!

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 10 - GRADIENT

Yaaaay, I HAVE REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS THANKYOUU TO ALL OF YOU WHO READ AND COMMENT ON MY BLOG, : ) I HAVE AN EXCITING GIVEAWAY COMING UP SOON : )

ok, so for today i wasn't sure if i should do an ombre mani or a gradient on each nail, so i decided to do both lool
so first up is this gradient,  i showed you this design at the beginning of the year in this post   can you believe i didn't show you this before ! anyway i did this design about a year or more ago and when i had some friends round a couple of months ago i did the design again for her, anyway here is the design, the only difference between this and my old design is that in this one i used the sponging technique to get a smoother gradient (thanks to Rebecca)

cute non?

anyway then i tried an ombre mani again (you can see my fail here !)
for this i used no7 totally teal (the thumb colour)

wheras in my last post i thought the colours were too similar on each nail in this one i think the colours are slightly too far away ! not sure, what do you think ?

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 5 - BLUEEE

oh ladies i'm so tired today, had to start school again today and i'm not happy there's been soo many changes since last year i feel like i'm somewhere new all of a sudden there's loads of people everywhere, all my teachers have left and have been replaced with new ones, except for chemy where they have replaced our old teacher with a teacher who last year taught us for 1 term and taught us the completely wrong syllabus and wasted a full term *sigh*,  anyway thankfully this mani has cheered me up as i came home with the biggest headache evvverrrrr!
this is another one of my favourite colours : ) and one of my favourite nail polishes

i've shown you no7 poolside blue but i really love this nail polish : ) and then for the accent nail i painted it black and added my new barry m blue and silver strip glitter i showed you in my haul a while ago

not very happy with these piccies but i'm dying to show you this, in fact this challenge is a really good opportunity to try some of my untrieds : ) and hey, i'm not doing too bad its day 5 : )
