CHRISTMAS GLITTERY LAYERING NAILS

Hi guys, hope your all ok, today I have a quick layering combination I wore recently which I think is perfect for Christmas!
I started off with two coats of Essie Leading Lady and then applied one coat of Sephora by OPI, It's real! 18K Gold Flake topcoat before finishing it all with one coat of NYC Turbo Dry topcoat.

So that's it, doesn't it just scream Christmas :)

18K GOLD TOP COAT COMPARISONS

Hi guys, ok so here is another quick post ! I recently got Rococo Gold Leaf topcoat from Ebay for a good price, some of you may be familiar with this polish, it was the first (I think) gold leaf topcoat and was released a few years ago ! I had wanted it for a long time but then, £35 is a lot !

Anywho I decided to compare it to the other 2 gold leaf topcoats I own; namely, Sephora by OPI - It's Real 18k Gold tc and OPI - The Man With The Golden Gun !
I've layered one coat of each over China Glaze Up all night,
the ring and pointer finger have the Rococo, the middle has the OPI and the pinky is the Sopi !

L-R - Rococo, OPI, Rococo, Sopi

Ok so you can see the Sopi has the smallest flakes but is the densest and doesn't require much/any dabbing

The OPI is the least dense and the flakes are mid size and sparse, which requires quite a bit of dabbing and placing of the flakes

The Rococo is rather dense and has a mix of larger and mid size flakes, you get a lot of flakes on the nail but you need to move them around on the nail !

My favourite? The Sopi ! Yours?

SHIMMERY JEWEL MARBLE & 18K GOLD TOPCOAT !

It's a miserable, rainy day here in England, what's the weather like where you are?
So for today's nails, we have one of my favouritist (I know that's not a real word in the dictionary but it is in my head) nails ever, I think this is perfect for a christmas day mani or new years to when you want something elegant but with a litttle twist !
Ok so for this mani I started out with 1 coat of w7 black, while it was wet I placed on dots of China Glaze - Little Drummer Boy, Orly Smolder, Zoya Veruschka, OPI Russian Navy and Essence Choose Me, then I just swirled them around like I showed you in this tutuorial here. Then I added one coat of Sephora by OPI It's Real 18K Gold Topcoat !

Aaah, this is a real beauty irl! It's feels so luxurious and expensive lol ! Do you guys love it as much as me ?

RED & GREEN CHRISTMAS GRADIENT NAILS

Hi guys, how are you all doing? I was in a good mood until I got my new glasses about an hour ago, I really don't like them, the frames are the same but the lenses aren't and they're much thicker and they're giving me a headache : ( Other than that, I'm good !

So this is my first proper Christmas mani of 2012, now this year is a bit of a challenge for me, why ? Well because I keep all my polish stuff in our den which is quite big so we all have a section of the room for our hobby stuff but it's the top floor of the house and we don't turn the heating on because it takes ages to warm up and we don't spend all day up there, so when summer comes it's really stuffy and when winter comes it's the same temp as outside, often freezing. So in the winter we close the ladder and leave it. It's too heavy to open everyday and too cold for me to sit up there doing nails so I often grab a handful of polishes and take them down and they often last me throughout the colder months, this means I don't have any of my nail art tools with me so all the nail art I'm going to do will be using regular household items, like a sponge or a pin etc. which means you should be able to recreate these mani's without a problem!
Wow, long explanation lol !

Anyway for this gradient I didn't apply a base colour because it kind of overshadowed the gradient, so on a sponge I directly painted a strip of red (I used Max Factor Redly Nightshade) and then green (I used Catrice King of Greens) and made the colours overlap a little for a smoother gradient. Unfortunately the green didn't really stay green, but it still looks ok, then I added a coat of sOPI 18k Gold topcoat.
Simples!

Ok so there you go, do you like it ? I'll talk to you guys tomorrow then : )

SOME GOLDEN STAMPING

Really brief post for today, this is basically the mani I had on a few days ago which I showed you here. I just did some subtle stamping with Barry M Gold Foil because I didn't want the stamping to overpower the gold flakes.

I hope you like it, I'll be back tomorrow (if my internet lets me) with a gorgeous polish : )
