HENNA NAIL ART

Hey guys, thankyou for the lovely comments on my last post, I really appreciate them. They're really motivate and encourage me to post more.
So today I bring you these henna inspired nails. Can you believe I've forgotten the name of this polish? I never forget polish names! Ok, so I've just checked and this is Penny For Your Thoughts by Colors by Llarowe. This colour just makes me think of henna, I'm not actually a fan of henna on me personally but the patterns are gorgeous so I decided to paint something like that on my nails.

HALLOWEEN BAT NAILS

Hello everybody, how was your weekend? I'm sorry I didn't blog this week but I've had a really busy week at uni which also included seeing my first patient! So I've spent the weekend trying to catch up on sleep and just generally relax a bit.
Tonight though I have another Halloween nail art design to share with you, featuring some amazing bat nail vinyls from She Sell Seashells. I really wanted these bats to stand out and ended up deciding to do an orange circular gradient for a background.
I have done this circular (or bullseye) gradient before but I haven't got round to posting them here yet. For the gradient I used Barry M Gelly in Mustard for the inner bit and then Illamasqua Insanity for the outer part of the gradient and just to darker it up a touch I also used a little bit of China Glaze Stoked To Be Soaked.
I used these nail vinyls in 2 different ways to show you how easy they are to use and how to make these vinyls go a bit further. On the ring finger I used the vinyls as a stencil and then on the other fingers I used the little inner bits of the stencil as stickers and then added top coat.
I must say I'm quite proud of how these turned out I really love them!

RASTA GRADIENT NAILS USING ESSENCE!

Hi guys, how was your Monday? Tonight I have a super fun and bright mani to share with you!
This reminds of the Jamaican Rasta colours and I love it! I saw a gradient with these colours on instagram and made a mental note to try out the colour combo.
I used all Essence colours for the gradient from the cuticle to the tip I used Essence 170 Beijos De Brazil, 137 Wanna Be Your Sunshine*, 145 Flashy Pumpkin, 115 Redvolution* and 114 Femme Fatal*.
I ended up with a bit of bald patched on my ring finger which is more obvious in the pictures than in real life. I still love it though and what makes a gradient even better? Black and white glitter :) So of course I added one coat of Lynnderella Connect the Dots (new version) which was a bit too dense and covered up more of the gradient than I would have liked but it's all gooood ;)

And here's a few bonus pictures of the gradient without the glitter.

KOOKY NEON NAIL WRAPS

Hi guys, how are you all today? The weather has been awful this past week but today I have some very bright neon nails to share with you all!
I don't believe I've ever shown nail wraps on my blog before, mainly because they tend to crease on my nails, so I was quite curious about trying these ones by Kooky.
These are the Neon Orange & Silver* design from the Neon Me collection for Summer 2014 by Kooky. Now, orange is not my favourite nail colour as you may know so when I got these I was a bit hmm but I tried them and was pleasantly surprised.
These wraps don't require any heat and are really easy to apply, select the size which is best suited to your nail, peel it off the backing (it said to apply dehydrater onto the nail but I didn't receive that it's not essential, you can just wipe your nail with acetone) Apply the wrap to the nail and I find it easier to use my finger to smooth it all down and then file off the excess at the free edge of your nail.
Simple! I did get some creases as you can see but I can live with it.
These neon wraps are so bright and they make you look so tan aswell so they're perfect for summer! I'd probably use these on holiday and you can even apply these perfectly on a plane or a train or any other mode of transport (except cycling and walking, unless you have an extra set of hands!)

I actually quite like these, and they're very convenient and easy to use. There's also several other neon designs in this collection which look just as cool!
These wraps are available here from The Beauty Partnership.

CHINA GLAZE OFF SHORE COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hey guys, I hope your all having a lovely weekend, it's a bank holiday here in the UK which means 3 day weekend \o/ Yaay!
So today I have an exciting post for you. Recently I ordered some of the China Glaze Off Shore collection from Nail Polish Direct and received them mid week, unfortunately the bottle of I Sea The Point had broken in transit and ruined my bottles of Shore Enuff and Stroked To Be Soaked. They did send me replacements so I had to swatch these quickly because honestly I've not had any time this week to do anything!
I chose 6 colours from the collection and I shall share my thoughts etc below, so click on to see the swatches and read my review :)

ILLAMASQUA GLAMORE COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hey guys, I hope you've had a lovely weekend. My weekend was good,  we had some friends over yesterday and then today I spent half the day painting walls, I actually don't mind painting so I'm happy but tired!
Anyway today I have the Glamore collection from Illamasqua! I wasn't planning on buying these because you guys know I'm not a fan of textured polishes but then I bought the lipsticks for my mum and they had an offer on so I just bought them!
So I was a just a tiny bit disappointed when I saw these because I don't like textured nail polishes but these are lovely and I will wear them with topcoat :)
I have used 2 coats for each swatch, I've included swatches with and without topcoat.

First up is Trilliant, this is a lovely Nudey Champagne colour which I didn't think I'd like but I actually do. It wasn't overly textured either.

Below I've used two coats of Essence Better Than Gel Top Coat Sealer.

Next is Fire Rose, this is a super girly pink explosion! Not really my thing but still very pretty. The silver glitter in it cools the pink down a little bit and it looks slightly metallic. This was as textured as Trilliant.

Below I've used two coats of Essence Better Than Gel Top Coat Sealer.

Finally we have Marquise, which is so so gorgeous! It's more orange irl than my pictures show and the shimmer in it is more vibrant irl too. In the bottle the shimmer looks like it may be a bit duochrome but it's not on the nail. This doesn't have hex glitter in it like the other two so the texture is different in this one and more tolerable for me.

In the bottle the shimmer looks like it may be a bit duochrome but it's not on the nail. I think this looks even better with topcoat!

So that's all the swatches, I hope you liked them! They're all soo sparkly and even more so when you apply topcoat. They all apply really easily and cover really well. You can buy these from the Illamasqua website for £15 hereOverall it's a nice collection and my favourite is Marquise, what's yours?
