BREAKING BAD NAILS

Hey peeps, how are you all today? Looking forward to the weekend? I am :)
Recently (about 4 months ago) started watching Breaking Bad and yes I love it, I still haven't finished it yet, I think I have 2 seasons left to go. Anyway I knew I had to do Breaking Bad nails and I actually did these back in February! I posted a picture on instagram so be sure to follow me on there.
I started off with 2 coats of Illamasqua Kink and then I used China Glaze Def Defying and Color Club Almost Famous to do the 'smoke' I really wanted them to turn out like these amazing smoke nails but I just couldn't *sigh* I will need more practice!
I used white acrylic paint to draw on the elements and then applied a regular top coat followed by a matte top coat. I find matte top coat can smudge nail art so I always use a regular top coat first! Unfortunately the white writing turned yellow and I didn't realise until a few hours later when I took the photos :(

I need more time to watch the rest of this awesome show, but to do I'd need time! However holidays are starting this weekend so I may have to dedicate a day to watching Breaking Bad, that would be a good day!

RAINBOW STRAW DIPPED NAILS

Hey guys, I'm so sleepy today and I just feel so drained even though I haven't been doing anything strenuous!
Anywho remember these nails I did, well this was my practice run before hand in which I learnt you shouldn't use too many different colours with the technique I think it looks much better when you use fewer colours like I did on the other nails. I used Sally Hansen Whirlwind White as a base and then used 6 different nail polishes for the details, I'm too tired to list all those nail polishes now but if you want to know then leave a comment and I shall let you know :) I finally topped it all with a layer of OPI Matte Top Coat.

Ok, so that's a wrap for today, I shall see you in my next post :)

MATTE & GLOSSY SPLATTER NAILS

Hi everyone, I'm so tired so this will be a really short post.
I love how shimmers look when they are mattified and of course I also love them when they are glossy :)
So for these nails I started with 2 coat of Smolder by Orly, I then applied a matte top coat on all the nails except the accent nail and used a regular top coat and straw to create the glossy splatter. On the accent nail I did the opposite, so I applied a coat of regular top coat ad used the matte top coat by OPI for the splatter.

and that's a wrap, see you tomorrow :)

EVANORA INSPIRED NAILS

Hey guys, I'm so tired today, really glad that today is over and tomorrow is Friday yaay!

So since we got Sky Movies (which is about 7 months ago now, haha) I've been watching lots of movies, well when I can. Recently I watched Oz The Great and Powerful (what an awesome movie) and caught myself concentrating on Evanora's nails a bit too much, which is what inspired these nails!

I started off with 1 coat of Essie Good As Gold and then I used black acrylic paint to draw the triangle shape and fill in the rest of the nail and then applied one coat of OPI Matte Top Coat before applying these gorgeous emerald green triangles (which I want as earrings) which the lovely Sarah sent me as a gift from her store here which I definitely recommend you check out!

I love these so so much! I think all the colours work really together and I love the rhinestones so much and I just adore the matte look of it all :)

You can find the rhinestones here and whilst you're there make sure you check out the rest of Sarah's store because there are a lot of awesome products for really affordable prices!

OPI IN MY SANTA SUIT & SNOWFLAKES IN THE AIR

Hey guys, happy Wednesday :) How has your week been so far? I had a day off today and so mum and I went shopping and I didn't buy a single nail polish : o That is self control ladies, right there!
Lol, anyway on one of my many trips to Sallys I picked up the Top This topcoat set by OPI which contains this glitter topper. I don't believe this is available on it's own. It's a mix of silver holographic hex glitter
So I applied one coat over OPI In My Santa Suit (which is gorgeous!) and then applied one coat of topcoat.

I then applied one coat of OPI Matte top coat

BARRY M GELLY PLUM & KINK TIPS

Hope your all having a good weekend, today I have some simple nail art which I did recently.
I started off with 2 coats of Barry M Gelly in Plum (btw this is a pretty much dead on dupe for OPI Vant To Bite My Neck?) I left this on for a day and didn't apply topcoat, unfortunately when I woke up the next morning I was left with some sheet marks (which you can see in the pictures)
I then used some tape and painted on Illamasqua Kink on to the tips.

I really like this colour combination and the overall look, what do you think?

W7 - MOSAIC

So I was going to schedule this post but it wasn't ready ! We've just got back from my cousin's house and I am stuffed : ( I hate the feeling of being too full and try to avoid it as much as possible but it's always difficult at my aunties, it doesn't help she makes enough to feed a small country lol ; )

Anyway on to nail business , this is mosaic from w7, it is gorgeous and I'm soo glad I didn't order Pudding Lane from Nails Inc because this is said to be a dead on dupe ! Even if it's not I'm not going to cry about it because it's still pretty : )
It's a gorgeous blue with matte darker blue and gold hex glitters, this is only 2 coats and it  has an amazing formula no clumping or being silly or anything like that ; p

Then I decided to mattify it, I had to use 2 coats to get a proper matte finish, I only used one coat on the pointy finger and you can see it's still a bit shiny

Oh and for some reason it didn't stain any nails where I picked the glitter off but when I used the foil method it stained my nails sooo badly, it won't come out : (
So do you guys like it? Do you have it?

MINI EGGS

Yep this is kind of a late easter mani, I should have posted this earlier but ... you know ; )
Anyway here it is,I'm not totally happy with this because I wanted to use a mint green and pale pastel yellow instead of the peachy colour on the pinky but my polishes were locked upstairs in the den and it was cold ! loll Also I wanted to use my trusty Jessica polish in double dipped which is the exact colour for chocolate, anyway I made do with what I had and was a great chance to try out some of my recent untrieds ! : ) (haul + nail mail posts coming v. soon ; )

L-R , Barry m - pale pink, blue lagoon, berry ice cream, Nails Inc - wellington square

I've been helping a lot more in the garden and stuff so please excuse the terrible condition of my hands and cuticle, my hands get really dry and the skin around my nails, does anyone have any recommendations for a good hand cream or some other remedy?

*EDIT* - Giveaway entries are being verified, there were a lot of false entries, Winner will be announced soon

STAMPING WEEK, DAY 6 - VERUSCHKA

I'm soo glad you all liked my last mani as much as me : )

Anyway today is the last success of the week, tomorrow is another fail ! loll
Anywho I recently saw barry m gold and silver foil on sale and even though I wouldn't wear the colours alone on my nails I heard they were really good for stamping so I decided to get them and give them a try and yes I can confirm that they are amazing for stamping !

2nd day of wear !

The necklace stamp is another of my favourites and I adore it ! : ) Anywho there was something I didn't love about this mani so I took it off the next day
