HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Hey everyone, this year I'm only bringing you one halloween design. I saw this design on instagram and immediately felt inspired to recreate it, I actually love the purple gradient more than anything else!
So for the gradient I used Barry M Gelly in Prickly Pear, OPI Bouquet of Violets and Barry M Gelly Plum. I painted all the details with black acrylic paint, except the yellow is Essie Shorty Pants.

ESSIE TRUTH OR FLARE

Hey guys, how are you all? Today I have a really pretty Essie polish from their Spring 2014 collection and a review of www.nailpolish.co.uk

I believe they are a relatively new online store which offers a wide selection of nail polish ranging from Barry M to OPI. They didn't actually have OPI when I received this Essie to review so they are adding new lines regularly so it's worth checking their store every now and then.
They offer free first class delivery in the UK which is always a bonus! However their packaging is not the best, I received my polish in a jiffy bag without any bubble wrap or any other type of packing. Neither did the parcel have the Royal Mail ID8000 label which is needed on all parcels containing nail polish! They are a new company though so they'll probably change this but I just thought I'd warn you.

Ok, let's get on to the actual nail polish itself now! This is Truth or Flare* from this years Spring collection. It's a very lovely slightly dusty blue/grey colour which looks very sophisticated and I'm sure it'll make a great base for nail art!
I had to use 3 coats as it was a touch on the sheer side but I think it'll thicken up a little with time meaning it'll cover in 2 coats. I didn't apply top coat here and it's pretty darn shiny!

You can find this here from nailpolish.co.uk.
Have you tried this colour out before and what are you thoughts?

MAYBELLINE ACID WASH EFFECT TOP SPLATTER AKA PRECIOUS PEARL

Happy Weekend guys, what are your plans for this weekend?
So recently Maybelline have been releasing awesome collections like the ones I've swatched here and here and when I saw the Acid Wash collection I was ready to get them all but then when I saw them in the store they just didn't grab me! So I only picked up the Top Splatter.
This same polish is from the Polished Jewels Collection in the US and is called Precious Pearl. Also I do believe this may be a dupe for the newly released Storm by Picture Polish.

EASY SUMMER FLOWER NAILS

Hey guys, a really quick post from me today before I head off to bed. I can't remember if I saw this design on instagram and where, when my brain is working I will check!
Ok so I love yellow for summer and Essie Shorty Pants is my favourite yellow ever! I started off with 3 coats and used OPI Alpine Snow and a dotting tool to make the flowers, then I added a gold circle glequin in the centre of each flower. Unfortunately when the white flowers dried they ended up looking yellow :(

Ok, so that's it for now, I shall see you tomorrow hopefully :)

EVANORA INSPIRED NAILS

Hey guys, I'm so tired today, really glad that today is over and tomorrow is Friday yaay!

So since we got Sky Movies (which is about 7 months ago now, haha) I've been watching lots of movies, well when I can. Recently I watched Oz The Great and Powerful (what an awesome movie) and caught myself concentrating on Evanora's nails a bit too much, which is what inspired these nails!

I started off with 1 coat of Essie Good As Gold and then I used black acrylic paint to draw the triangle shape and fill in the rest of the nail and then applied one coat of OPI Matte Top Coat before applying these gorgeous emerald green triangles (which I want as earrings) which the lovely Sarah sent me as a gift from her store here which I definitely recommend you check out!

I love these so so much! I think all the colours work really together and I love the rhinestones so much and I just adore the matte look of it all :)

You can find the rhinestones here and whilst you're there make sure you check out the rest of Sarah's store because there are a lot of awesome products for really affordable prices!

MATTE PERIWINKLE GLEQUIN TIPS

Hey guys, what are your plans for this weekend? I don't really any plans this weekend, I just have lots of work to do and nails to paint!
Ok, so today is another design I came up with using some gorgeous matte, periwinkle glequins* I received from The Glitter Shop. I decided to use them with Essie Bangle Jangle and used them at the tips to make a triangle shape thingy.
They make me think of a grandma jumper, haha! But I like them none the less.

The glequins are again of the great quality I've come to expect from The Glitter Shop and I really like this colour pairing too. You can buy these glequins from their eBay store here

EASY & QUICK GLEQUIN NAILS

Hey guys, how are you all doing? Recently when some friends came up to stay, my friend asked me to some glitter placement skittle nails, this design was on one of the nails and I just thought it was so beautiful so I had to recreate it on myself.
I started with 2 coats of Essie Penny Talk and then used these red, blue and gold square glequins before applying a generous layer of topcoat.
Apologies for only one picture here, for some reason my skin was a really weird colour on all the pictures and it was too distracting!

This is so simple and easy to do and it only takes 10 extra minutes to do all your nails so I would definitely recommend you try this out when you get a chance!

GOLD & BLACK HOLOGRAPHIC DISC GLEQUINS - NEW YEAR NAILS!

*press sample

Hey guys, one thing about the holiday period is I never know what day it is so I didn't realise it was Monday until about 5 minutes ago, haha. Does that happen to you too?

So recently I got a lovely package full of glitter from The Glitter Shop, they sent me some amazing glitters which you'll see over the next couple of weeks. I'll also be doing a review of the store in the near future so be sure to look out for that. Included in the package were the same type of holographic glitter in OPI I Snow You Love Me but in different colours and I have the black one to show you today!

I started off with 2 coats of Essie Good As Gold, which I picked up for £2 from The Original Factory Shop on holiday, it's a really nice gold and it covers in just one coat and it's not to brushstrokey. I then used the black glitter disc glequins* and just working from one side I just did rows of the glitter until I got to the bottom, then I used some scissors to cut the glequins in half so they'd fit at the cuticle. Finally I applied two coats of topcoat and done!

(I recently bought myself a dslr camera and specialist macro lens so some of the pictures above are using those, I'm still getting the hang of it so they aren't perfect !)
Black and Gold just scream New Years to me and I think it's the only time of the year that I actually wear this colour combo, what about you guys?

I love these nails, they're still sparkly but subtle in a way because the black holo glequins aren't as in your face as some of the other glitter. If this is not as sparkly as you'd like them then check back tomorrow because I'm sure tomorrows post will please you!

You can buy these glequins here, for some reason they're only showing the silver ones at the moment but if you email them I'm sure they'll be happy to help you, and they're only £1.99 for a 30g bag which is really cheap in my eyes because I bought a 3g pot of the silver glequins on ebay for £1.90 I think!

PINK & BLUE SKITTLES WITH MAYBELLINE CHALK DUST

Hi guys, hope your all keeping well, I just have an old notd to show you today. For this I used Essie Lights and Kiko 340 on alternating fingers before topping it all with Maybelline Chalk Dust.

I loved the two colours here together and I loved how the Chalk Dust tied it all together :) Have you picked up this black and white glitter yet? I know it has a different name in the states.

CAVIAR AND BLINIS NAILS

I'm so happy it's Friday, I don't really have any plans, I'm just looking forward to spending the weekend playing with some of my new polishes. What are your plans?

Anywho I don't really like the whole caviar nail things but the other day (when I say the other day I actually mean 2 weeks ago, hehe ) I had this awesome idea which I haven't seen anywhere else ! Using the little caviar beads as caviar on my nails! So caviar goes with blinis.

So I started off with 2 coats of Essie Well Red (I think), then using OPI San Tan Tonio I drew on irregular circles on to the nail using the polish brush, then using a little bit of cling film/saran wrap I dabbed on some brown polish (I can't remember which one) just onto the circles I'd drawn previously. I then applied a bit of topcoat in the center of the circle and dipped my finger into a pot of black caviar beads and voila !

I don't think I like caviar, I think I've tried it once but can't really remember, but I'm so happy with how these turned out, hehe!
What do you guys think?
