STARRY NAIL ART FAIL

Hey guys, how's your weekend been? I've spent about 15 hours this weekend editing blog photos and getting some posts ready! 

Ok, so today I have a nail art fail to share with you today. I was inspired by this beautiful mani by Lucy  and thought I'd try it out for myself. I started off with two coats of Illamasqua Creator and then sponged on some red, green and blue to give a galaxy like appearance and then painted on the stars using white acrylic paint. On the ring finger I decided to do a half moon with the white and oh my goodness it turned into the worst half moon I've ever seen in my life! Haha  

I wasn't going to show this but I believe part of blogging is sharing our failures, we are only human aren't we and it's our failures which help us grow improve. Ok guys, enjoy your Monday!

ORANGES FAIL !

Hi guys, hope your all good :)

I've been super busy this week so I haven't really had time to type up a blog post! So wow, I was rather overwhelmed with the response to my last post, I'm so glad you guys liked it :) 

Anyway so this was a big fail, I was sat staring at my nail polishes (as you do) and saw Butter London Silly Billy and it just made me think ORANGES!! so I thought I'd paint them on my nails and it turned out terrible!

I started off with two coats of Essence Got A Secret and then used a dotting tool and made dots with Silly Billy and used black acrylic paint and my nail art brush to draw on the rest of the details.

Yeah, so they don't look like oranges.

ONE STROKE FAIL ART!

Oh man, this was such a fail but to be perfectly honest I didn't mind because this was just one of those mani's  that just kinda happened ! 

The colours didn't blend together and the leaf on the middle finger is just too big! 

For this I just used Sally Hansen Instadry in Whirlwind White along with red, blue, green and yellow acrylic paint and a black gel pen for the rest of the detail

Not really anything more to say about these nails ! Have you had any nail fails recently?

PINK SWIRLS

Hi guys, hope your all well :)

I wasn't sure if I should post this or not; I liked the pattern but didn't like the mani overall so it's a bit of a fail in my books, but hey blogging is not all about your successes right?

Anywho for this mani I started off with 2 coats of China Glaze Great Barrier Beige and then used pink acrylic paint to paint on the detail, this is where it kind of went all wrong. The acrylic paint wasn't pigmented enough and I had to go over it 3 times which left it looking patchy and untidy. 

I think I'll try this pattern out again but using different materials and hopefully it'll work out much better. 

What do you guys think about this one then and do you agree with posting your failures as well as your successes?

STAMPING WEEK - DAY 1 - CHUCK

Yes , I know I was supposed to start this on monday and it's wednesday today, but as I'm sure you all know life has a silly habit of getting in the way !
Anyway like I mentioned before this week is going to be dedicated to stamping, as may know I got my first stamping plates a while ago and atm. absolutely suck at using them but I have not given up so this week your going to get to see some successes and laugh at some of my major fails !

Ok so a couple of weeks ago on twitter I asked the ladies what polish to wear and they all said Essence Chuck !
Let me tell you this is one of the most beautiful blues I've ever worn, it reminds me of more opaque slightly duller version of opi dating a royal ! Anyway they told me not to do anything else to it but before I took it off I decided to try some stamping and oh how I wished I hadn't !

So today is a fail, her you are you have been warned !


I used essence got a secret for the stamping, oh and I also attempted a french tip on the pinky !

Thankfully there's only 2 pictures, I only took 4 !

VALENTINES SKITTLES FAIL !

I had such high hopes for this mani, but this turned into one of the biggest fails ever ! 


You may remember I got some stamping plates from born pretty a while ago and I only got round to trying them out the other day, I decided the use the hearts french tip stamp, now this is my first time stamping and I don't think it could have gone any worse ! 


I thought I'd stamp the pattern to cover my whole nail in all different pinks and reds etc, so I painted all my nails with a pale pastel pink franken and then started stamping with zoya renee, sometimes it went ok other times I just wanted to cry ! anyway I carried on with different colours and then in an attempt to hide the hideous stamping I started layering different polishes over it 

pinky - Teenage dream, Ring - I lilly love you (it smudged so badly !), Middle - clear with a red heart rhinestone, Pointy - nubar 2010

This was my favourite finger out of them all , but it was still a shambles ! loll look at my horrific stamping, I completely missed the side of the nails ! : o 

Anyways I hope your Ok after that, do you have any stamping tips for me ?

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 14 - FLOWERS

very quick post today ladies, i have far too much work to do,
so today is flowers and yes there were tonnes of flowery patterns i could do but i thought i'd try daisy chains, didn't work quite as well as i'd hoped 

base is models own concrete mixer 

what do you think, is this bad enough to be classed as a fail?

hi everyone, how are you all
i'm in a good happy mood today,  we had a leaving bbq at school for all of us today (even though i'm not leaving yet *sob* another year to go) and we had such a good time, yes it did decide to rain and be freezing cold, and yes the lads burnt half the food, but we were all together and we had such a laugh, and i know tomorrow when i go into school and they won't be there i'll get really upset, it's funny you never realise how much you'll miss someone until they've gone,  and i'm going to miss everyone soooooooooooooooo much but anyway because i'm in a good mood i've finally plucked up the courage to show you guys this mani, i really didn't want to, it's kind of a fail in my eyes, i had hoped it would turn out a lot better *shrug* but oh well ! i guess its a part of blogging showing your fails as well as your successes
