ILLAMASQUA RUTHLESS SWIRLS

Hey peeps, I'm so sorry for not posting in a week but university is just so busy at the moment! But to redeem myself today I have an amazing acrylic paint review to share with you!
You can read this post to find out more about the paints I received any my overall thoughts.
Today I'm going to give you more details about the silver shade I got. I hadn't seen metallic acrylic paints around before and ended up getting some from the Pound Shop however the opacity was dreadful and so I won't be able to use it, this left me intrigued about the silver acrylic paint I received. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away! This paint is amazing, opaque with just one coat and just the perfect formula which is why I can do the following design with it! This is in the shade Silver Morning  and you get this from Art Discount here for only £1.30 and let me tell you, it's worth every penny!
To do the nails I started off with 2 coats of Illamasqua Ruthless and then painted on the swirly design which I think I saw on Nail Lacquer UK instagram. To tie the design in with the rest of nails I used China Glaze Fairy Dust on the rest of the nails.

LIGHTNING NAILS

Hey guys, happy Wednesday!
So I actually did these nails on my nubs but they never made it to the blog because I just didn't think they looked right! But I loved the design so recreated them on my longer nails!
To do these nails I did a black and dark blue gradient on all the nails using Angelica nails in Black* (I can't remember the name, sorry) and Nails Inc Motcomb Street at the tips. I then added one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust on all the nails to make the nails look like the night sky. For the feature nail I used a sponge and painted pink (Playboy Hot Violet*) in the middle and a circle of purple (OPI Funky Dunkey) around it, so kind of like a circular gradient, and sponged this onto the nail. and just to finish it off I added a silver lightning nail vinyl from She Sells Seashells which you can get here

HALLOWEEN BAT NAILS

Hello everybody, how was your weekend? I'm sorry I didn't blog this week but I've had a really busy week at uni which also included seeing my first patient! So I've spent the weekend trying to catch up on sleep and just generally relax a bit.
Tonight though I have another Halloween nail art design to share with you, featuring some amazing bat nail vinyls from She Sell Seashells. I really wanted these bats to stand out and ended up deciding to do an orange circular gradient for a background.
I have done this circular (or bullseye) gradient before but I haven't got round to posting them here yet. For the gradient I used Barry M Gelly in Mustard for the inner bit and then Illamasqua Insanity for the outer part of the gradient and just to darker it up a touch I also used a little bit of China Glaze Stoked To Be Soaked.
I used these nail vinyls in 2 different ways to show you how easy they are to use and how to make these vinyls go a bit further. On the ring finger I used the vinyls as a stencil and then on the other fingers I used the little inner bits of the stencil as stickers and then added top coat.
I must say I'm quite proud of how these turned out I really love them!

CIATE MOSAIC COLLECTION SWATCHES *VERY PIC HEAVY*

Happy Friday guys, how has your week been? Today I have a big post for you today. When I saw the Ciate Mosaic collection I got really excited and ordered the whole collection (which is quite unlike me) I hadn't seen any good swatches of these anywhere so I couldn't make a decision about which ones to get!
I swatched these a while ago but it's taken me ages to get this post together, blogging is not easy!
These are the first Ciate polishes I've bought since the whole Caviar drama a few years ago and whilst they're by no means one of my favourite brands these are some nice nail polishes.
There are loads of pictures so click on the read more to see my swatches and review.

CHINA GLAZE CHOO CHOO CHOOSE YOU - FALL 2014

Hi guys, I'll keep it brief today, I'm really tired.
Today I have a gorgeous nail polish from the upcoming All Aboard collection for Fall by China Glaze, this was the only one which I felt I needed.
It's a very unique nail polish and very beautiful. I used one thinnish coat and then one thicker coat, there's no topcoat on here and the formula is lovely, a tad on the thin side but I think it'll thicken up with time.

CHINA GLAZE OFF SHORE COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hey guys, I hope your all having a lovely weekend, it's a bank holiday here in the UK which means 3 day weekend \o/ Yaay!
So today I have an exciting post for you. Recently I ordered some of the China Glaze Off Shore collection from Nail Polish Direct and received them mid week, unfortunately the bottle of I Sea The Point had broken in transit and ruined my bottles of Shore Enuff and Stroked To Be Soaked. They did send me replacements so I had to swatch these quickly because honestly I've not had any time this week to do anything!
I chose 6 colours from the collection and I shall share my thoughts etc below, so click on to see the swatches and read my review :)

FLUORESCENT NEON GREEN & BLUE GRADIENT NAILS

Hey guys, any one out there craving summer? Well these nails are for you :) I suggest you go and grab your sunnies before continuing.                                    Got them? Ok good.
So I have been meaning to do a blue and green gradient for ages and decided to try it out a while ago and well why not use neon colours? So for these I used China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard and Color Club Chelsea Girl (I think) and to top it all off I added a coat of Illamasqua Swarm because it's awesome!
This was so gorgeous in real life (if I may say so myself) and the colours looked amazing but this was an absolute pain in the derriére to photograph so I have had to fiddle with the colours in gimp which is why my fingers look a rather funny colour!

Look at the macro shot, don't you just LOVE it!!

ILLAMASQUA SWARM SWATCHES

Hey guys, I'm really sorry I haven't posted this week but it has been an exhausting week! Thankfully things look like they're settling down for the rest of the week!
Anyway so if you follow me on Instagram you probably saw I treated myself to some Illamasqua, as you may already know Illamasqua is my favourite nail polish brand, I love their colours, the formulas, the customer service and the way they always interact with bloggers on various social media platforms! The hard part is choosing which colour to get, I have 40 Illamasquas in my collection so it's not always easy choosing which colour to get! Anyway enough rambling, lets talk nails.
One of the polishes that I've had my eye on for a while is Illamasqua Swarm, so I treated myself to a bottle when I got my exam results and all I can say is I love it !

I have a lot of pictures to show you so please click on the link below to read more and see some macro pictures too :)

SIMPLE & EASY GLEQUIN NAILS

Hi guys, super quick post today. For these nails I did two coats of China Glaze For Audrey on the middle and accent nail and then two coats of Illamasqua Jo'mina on the rest of the nails. I then applied a strip of holographic silver diamond glequins before applying one coat of topcoat.

I love it, what do you think ?

HOLOGRAPHIC BRUSHSTROKE BUTTERFLY WING NAILS

Tgif right? I'm so tired today, it's been a crazy week!
So for these nails I used some of the holographic polishes from the China Glaze OMG Collection. I used OMG, L8R G8R, DV8, QT, LOL, 2NITE for the brushstroke pattern on all the nails, it was rather subtle especially in the sun when the holographicness was showing.
I then used some black acrylic paint to paint on the wings and did some small white dots. I didn't apply topcoat because I liked the mate effect overall and the topcoat would have dulled the holographicness!

Right, so what do you think of that then?
