HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Hey everyone, this year I'm only bringing you one halloween design. I saw this design on instagram and immediately felt inspired to recreate it, I actually love the purple gradient more than anything else!
So for the gradient I used Barry M Gelly in Prickly Pear, OPI Bouquet of Violets and Barry M Gelly Plum. I painted all the details with black acrylic paint, except the yellow is Essie Shorty Pants.

BARRY M CARDAMOM AND HOT PINK TRIANGLE GLITTER PLACEMENT

I know it's been a very long time, what should I say? Sorry!
I will be posting very occasionally probably and yeah I don't have the time or patience to watermark my pictures anymore so if you're planning on stealing them, please don't
Today's post features this gorgeous Barry M Gelly polish in the shade Cardamom, can I just say I love Cardamom and this colour is just gorgeous and unique in my shrinking stash(I believe) I love this polish so so much!
So I paired this with these amazing hot pink matte triangle glequins which I was gifted by my friend Sarah. (Yes my glitter placement is a hot mess, I'm out of practice!)

LACE NAILS!

Hi everyone, I hope you're all enjoying the holidays, it's nearly the end though isn't it!
So today I have some stamping nails to share with you, I am obsessed with lace nails and they are tricky to do freehand, well for me anyway. So I am very excited about this lace stamping plate* from Born Pretty Store and this stamper*.
For these nails I just wanted classic lace nails so I used Barry M Gelly in Coconut for the base colour and then w7 Black for the stamping. This plate is awesome, the designs are pretty, well engraved and just easy to use. This was also my first time using a 'squishy' stamper and it's amazing, honestly this just makes stamping so easy I want to crack out all my plates and stamp over everything!  I highly recommend it.

CHRISTMAS CBL CHEVRON NAILS

Hey guys, today I'm squeezing in another Christmas mani.
For these I started with a base of Barry M Gelly in Coconut, I used skinny chevron nail vinyls from She Sells Seashells and Colors By Llarowe Gemini Rising and The Mighty Red Baron.
Have a lovely day tomorrow everyone :)

BARRY M FALL GRADIENT

Hi guys, sorry for the absence. Unfortunately I feel like I'm losing my polishing mojo which makes me sad, I haven't done my nails properly since starting uni again and it hasn't really bothered me. I'm often just too tired to sit and do my nails and I haven't really missed it, I won't lie. I'm hoping this is just a phase and I snap out of it because this blog and nail polish has bought me so much happiness and got me through some really dark times and not to mention I've invested a lot on my collection!
So today I have yet another gradient mani using the Barry M Gelly winter polishes. I saw a very similar gradient by Coewless Nails on instagram and when I had the Barry M's in front of me and knew I had to try it out for myself. I used Mustard and Paprika for the gradient and then topped it off with OPI The Man With The Golden Gun for a more 'fall' look.
I'm really happy with the way it turned out and just think it screams autumn and yes I know we're in winter now ;P

SPICE NAILS WITH BARRY M GELLY

Hola guys! So uni is now finished for Christmas and I had the loveliest day yesterday, I went to the Christmas markets, had crepes, went ice skating for the first time (I was awful, I fell 5 times) and ended it all with a lovely dinner. It's been really busy these past 2-3 weeks so I'm really happy to have nothing to do today :)
Today I have some nails which were completely inspired by the collection they came out with. I am talking about the Barry M Winter Gelly collection, I picked up the shades Mustard, Chilli, Paprika, Cardamom and Chai (which I didn't use in this design) I love the spice names and so decided to use all 4 of the polishes and then frame each nail with silver Art Deco acrylic paint* to look like a spice box! I'm not sure it fully worked but it still looks good right?

HALLOWEEN BAT NAILS

Hello everybody, how was your weekend? I'm sorry I didn't blog this week but I've had a really busy week at uni which also included seeing my first patient! So I've spent the weekend trying to catch up on sleep and just generally relax a bit.
Tonight though I have another Halloween nail art design to share with you, featuring some amazing bat nail vinyls from She Sell Seashells. I really wanted these bats to stand out and ended up deciding to do an orange circular gradient for a background.
I have done this circular (or bullseye) gradient before but I haven't got round to posting them here yet. For the gradient I used Barry M Gelly in Mustard for the inner bit and then Illamasqua Insanity for the outer part of the gradient and just to darker it up a touch I also used a little bit of China Glaze Stoked To Be Soaked.
I used these nail vinyls in 2 different ways to show you how easy they are to use and how to make these vinyls go a bit further. On the ring finger I used the vinyls as a stencil and then on the other fingers I used the little inner bits of the stencil as stickers and then added top coat.
I must say I'm quite proud of how these turned out I really love them!

LAVENDER NAIL ART & TUTORIAL

Hey guys, is it Sunday night again? The weekend goes way too quick!
I often get questions about the acrylic paint I use in my nail art and normally I just pick up them in random places so I haven't been able to recommend any brands or places to purchase until now.
I did quite a bit of research online for some acrylic paints which weren't the regular red, blue, green, yellow, white and black etc. but also affordable and I'm happy to report I found the perfect paint!
So the acrylic paint I found is by DecoArt and is sold by Art Discount for a very reasonable £1.30 for 59 ml and the colour range is huge, like seriously, there is every colour imaginable! You can find them here. All the paints I've tried so far have great opacity and formula so there's no need to thin them down.
I received a lovely selection of these paints quite a while ago to share with you and I'm really sorry this took so long to make it to the blog but there are lots of posts coming up using these acrylic paints and also some tutorials as well.
So let's get onto tonights nails. This design was inspired by the paint in the shade Lavender* and I also paired it with the shade Leaf Green*.
I used a base colour of Barry M Gelly in Huckleberry.
Click read more to see the rest of the pictures and of course the tutorial and it's a very simple one :)

RAINBOW STARS!

Happy Sunday! I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and I wish you a very good week to come.
Todays nails are made up of a few of my favourite things, namely rainbows, stars and nail vinyls!
To do these nails I started with 2 coats of Essence white stamping polish which is a great white nail polish, I then used these awesome star nail vinyl stencils from She Sells Seashells to paint on the rainbow stars. Now let me attempt to name all the colours!
The red is OPI The Thrill Of Brazil, the orange is China Glaze Stoked To Be Soaked, yellow is Color Club Almost Famous, green is Illamasqua Elope (I think), light blue is I can't remember what it is! the darker blue is Barry M Gelly in Blue Grape, lilac is Barry M Gelly in Prickly Pear and finally the dark purple is  OPI Funky Dunkey.
