Hi guys, how are you all doing? I was in a good mood until I got my new glasses about an hour ago, I really don't like them, the frames are the same but the lenses aren't and they're much thicker and they're giving me a headache : ( Other than that, I'm good !
So this is my first proper Christmas mani of 2012, now this year is a bit of a challenge for me, why ? Well because I keep all my polish stuff in our den which is quite big so we all have a section of the room for our hobby stuff but it's the top floor of the house and we don't turn the heating on because it takes ages to warm up and we don't spend all day up there, so when summer comes it's really stuffy and when winter comes it's the same temp as outside, often freezing. So in the winter we close the ladder and leave it. It's too heavy to open everyday and too cold for me to sit up there doing nails so I often grab a handful of polishes and take them down and they often last me throughout the colder months, this means I don't have any of my nail art tools with me so all the nail art I'm going to do will be using regular household items, like a sponge or a pin etc. which means you should be able to recreate these mani's without a problem!
Wow, long explanation lol !
Anyway for this gradient I didn't apply a base colour because it kind of overshadowed the gradient, so on a sponge I directly painted a strip of red (I used Max Factor Redly Nightshade) and then green (I used Catrice King of Greens) and made the colours overlap a little for a smoother gradient. Unfortunately the green didn't really stay green, but it still looks ok, then I added a coat of sOPI 18k Gold topcoat.
Simples!
Ok so there you go, do you like it ? I'll talk to you guys tomorrow then : )
