IT'S SNOWING WITH BARRY M!

Hey guys! So once again I'm here, after a ridiculous amount of time, I'm not even going to begin explaining (we'll be here all day!)
I've really missed blogging and doing my nails, I enjoy it so much and it was such a huge part of my life before, I feel sad that it's not anymore.
Anyway tonight I have some winter nails that I did ages ago (like over a year ago) I did a gradient with Barry M gelly polishes in Blue Grape and Blackberry and then painted on the little Christmas trees with black acrylic paint. Over that I used El Corazon Confetti polish in 531a, which is the PERFECT snow nail polish!

So in other news, after nearly 5/6 years? I have changed to oval shape nails! I just wanted a change and am liking it so far! I had to share this with people who wouldn't look at me like I had 2 heads, lol!
I know I don't post here so if anyone is interested head over to my instagram where I occasionally post!

THE BODY SHOP CRAZY FOR BLUE NEGATIVE SPACE CHEVRONS

Hey guys, I hope your having a good weekend. My parents are going away for 2 weeks tomorrow so I'm left in charge of the house and my brothers, I don't have anything planned so I'm hoping I can paint my nails a lot.
Tonight I have for you my first negative space mani, I haven't done this before I wasn't sure I liked it but I decided to try it out quickly one night before bed for uni the next and I really liked how it came out and made my short nails look longer.
For these I just have one coat of base coat and then I used the single chevron nail vinyls from She Sells Seashells and painted the rest of the nail with The Body Shop Colour Crush polish in Crazy For Blue* which is a gorgeous navy colour. I didn't top coat these because I didn't have time, so you can see the imperfections.
I just love the new The Body Shop polishes, they really are so amazing and they look so lovely, they would make the most perfect Christmas present if your looking for a last minute gift!

ROSE NAILS

Hi everybody, how are you? I've spent the past 3 days working on an essay which is drawing the life out of me! I also have my besties wedding this weekend and my outfit still isn't ready!
Today I have some rose nails to share with you. I used a tutorial to paint on the rose which I saw on instagram (and I can't remember whose tutorial it was) I wasn't sure what to do as a backgroud, eventually I decided to try out a circular gradient using Zoya Ling* and Models Own Baby Blues, this was the first time I tried a circular gradient and I think it turned out ok!
I then painted on the rose on the middle finger and to tie the rest of the nails in I added a few rose petals on the other nails and I fell in love.

NUDE & NEON HALF MOON NAIL ART

Hello everyone, how are you all tonight?
I have some half moon nail art for you all, I used OPI San Tan Tonio as my nude base colour and then I painted a half moon using Morgan Taylor Making Waves, once that was dry I used black acrylic paint to paint on the details over the half moon.
I loved the contrast between the bright blue and the nude.

SPOOKY BARRY M GRAVEYARD HALLOWEEN NAILS USING SHE SELLS SEASHELLS NAIL VINYLS

Hey everyone, how has your weekend been? Unfortunately my weekend has been pretty rubbish but tonight I have some spooky graveyard nails.
These look a lot more challenging to do than they really are which is what I love most about nail vinyls. I have a tutorial at the bottom of this post so click read more to see how to do these, they're so easy thanks to the nail vinyls so anyone can do them :)
I used 2 Barry M Gelly polishes for the night sky gradient, the lighter shade is Blue Grape and the darker one is Blackberry. The black base colour I used was w7 Black.
I hope you like it! Don't forget to see the whole post for the tutorial, enjoy! :)

LIGHTNING NAILS

Hey guys, happy Wednesday!
So I actually did these nails on my nubs but they never made it to the blog because I just didn't think they looked right! But I loved the design so recreated them on my longer nails!
To do these nails I did a black and dark blue gradient on all the nails using Angelica nails in Black* (I can't remember the name, sorry) and Nails Inc Motcomb Street at the tips. I then added one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust on all the nails to make the nails look like the night sky. For the feature nail I used a sponge and painted pink (Playboy Hot Violet*) in the middle and a circle of purple (OPI Funky Dunkey) around it, so kind of like a circular gradient, and sponged this onto the nail. and just to finish it off I added a silver lightning nail vinyl from She Sells Seashells which you can get here

LAVENDER NAIL ART & TUTORIAL

Hey guys, is it Sunday night again? The weekend goes way too quick!
I often get questions about the acrylic paint I use in my nail art and normally I just pick up them in random places so I haven't been able to recommend any brands or places to purchase until now.
I did quite a bit of research online for some acrylic paints which weren't the regular red, blue, green, yellow, white and black etc. but also affordable and I'm happy to report I found the perfect paint!
So the acrylic paint I found is by DecoArt and is sold by Art Discount for a very reasonable £1.30 for 59 ml and the colour range is huge, like seriously, there is every colour imaginable! You can find them here. All the paints I've tried so far have great opacity and formula so there's no need to thin them down.
I received a lovely selection of these paints quite a while ago to share with you and I'm really sorry this took so long to make it to the blog but there are lots of posts coming up using these acrylic paints and also some tutorials as well.
So let's get onto tonights nails. This design was inspired by the paint in the shade Lavender* and I also paired it with the shade Leaf Green*.
I used a base colour of Barry M Gelly in Huckleberry.
Click read more to see the rest of the pictures and of course the tutorial and it's a very simple one :)

ORLY HIGH ON HOPE

Happy Wednesday everyone! So we are halfway through the week yaay, hasn't it gone fast? I'm sorry I've been a bit quite but I just haven't really had time to get a post up but I'm having the night off tonight so I knew I had to blog!
So today I have a swatch of a gorgeous Orly polish! I remember wanting this when I first saw it but never got round to getting it so I was really happy to find this in T K Maxx for £2.99!
It's a gorgeous blue with duochrome shimmer/flakes in it! Such a gorgeous combination!

OPI BLUE CHIPS AKA THE MYSTERY POLISH

Hi everyone, so todays post features a polish which left me scratching my head!
So a while ago I came across the sale section on nailpolish.co.uk where they had some OPI's for £2.99 which I was really excited about, when I then went on to choose which ones I wanted I ended up confused because I hadn't heard of any of these colours before! I then went and did some digging around stumbled across this very useful and informative post here
I initially thought they were fakes but basically they're old shades by OPI which they've just repackaged, and they aren't cropping up in normal stores at normal prices, these are actually just showing up in discount places for a very reduced price!
These aren't available at nailpolish.co.uk at the moment but I think you can get them from Fragrance Direct,  Amazon or Ebay and T J Maxx in the US and other discount shops!

Ok, so the polish I have to show you today is OPI Blue Chips which is actually repackaged The Flowers Are Blue-Ming from Ultas 'Too Haute To Handle' limited edition collection from 2012.
This is a gorgeous blue filled with holographic silver glitter, this is actually textured which probably now wasn't the look they were going for in 2012 but now texture is 'in' this looks rather trendy!
You guys know though I don't like texture so I have to add topcoat and whilst it did smooth out the polish it still looked textured which I wasn't keen on but it's still pretty!
