ESSENCE ORCHID GRADIENT NAILS

Hi guys, Yaay it's Saturday (well nearly Sunday now!) :D
Today I have some more gradient nails to show you and I absolutely love them!
For these nails I used Essence Purple Sugar and Break Through to do the gradient, these colours just blended together so flawlessly and just looked so gorgeous together!
I decided to take it one step further and add some glitter because I you know I always do, teehee! I used the lovely Maybelline Top Splatter (Precious Pearl in the US I believe)

MAYBELLINE ACID WASH EFFECT TOP SPLATTER AKA PRECIOUS PEARL

Happy Weekend guys, what are your plans for this weekend?
So recently Maybelline have been releasing awesome collections like the ones I've swatched here and here and when I saw the Acid Wash collection I was ready to get them all but then when I saw them in the store they just didn't grab me! So I only picked up the Top Splatter.
This same polish is from the Polished Jewels Collection in the US and is called Precious Pearl. Also I do believe this may be a dupe for the newly released Storm by Picture Polish.

UK BLACK AND WHITE GLITTER COMPARISON

Hi guys, I've managed to find myself with 10 spare minutes tonight so I thought I'd do a little post for you :)
As you may have seen the oh so famous black and white glitters are now popping up in UK stores which prompted me to do a little comparison for you.

My middle finger I've used one coat of Ninja Polish Sticks n' Stones as a reference ($9.00 from Ninja Polish, currently out of stock)
My Index finger I've used one coat of Boots Seventeen Off The Wall Graffiti nail effects (£3.99 from Boots)
My ring finger I've used one coat of Claire's Black Mix glitter (£3.00 from Claire's)
My pinky finger I've used one coat of Maybelline Polka Dots Chalk Dust (no longer available in store but you can get it from eBay, price varies)

My base colour is Angelica nails Pillar Box Red*

I'm not going to describe them with words, just scroll down and look at the macro pictures because they'll do a better job than I will!

My least favourite is the Seventeen one from Boots mainly because it's a bit clumpy and there's a bit too much going on! I love them all though and if you don't own any black and white glitters then go and get some because they're awesome.
If you have any black and white glitters you've seen on the UK market that you would like to include here please leave a comment below or tweet me or email etc etc.

*These products were sent to me for my honest review. See my disclosure policy for more details

Hey everyone, how are you all? Well I have a tonne of revision to do and on Thursday I went and picked up the Maybelline Street Chic polishes from Boots and I wasn't going to swatch them until after my exams next week but I had a bad day yesterday and I didn't feel like working so I decided to swatch these, unfortunately I didn't have time to edit the pictures last night so I did them today and here you are :)
So I know there are more than 4 in this collection but only 4 have been released in the UK which I have to show you today!

LIME CRIME GRADIENT

Hi guys, what have you all been up to this weekend? I didn't really do anything yesterday other than watching tv and doing some work but today I'm going shopping yaay!
So on to today's nails, I recently got some Lime Crime polishes in a blog sale and thought I'd use them together in a gradient, I used Peaches & Cream and Parfait Day.
This was a pain to do, I had to do about 4 coats of the gradient and bits of sponge got stuck on the nail and it just really annoyed me, so I applied one coat of Maybelline Chalk Dust over the top to make it look a bit better, it didn't really work so there's only 2 pictures!

So that's all for today folks and I'll see you in the next post :)

MIDDLE MAN GRADIENT

Happy Tuesday guys, hope your all ok, I hope your not sick of gradients yet because I have another one for you today!
I've been experimenting with different types of gradient and this is the latest result, For this I used Barry M Gelly Plum and Essence Let's Get Lost and a sponge, but this time instead of just painting on two stripes of  polish onto the sponge I started with a purple stripe at the top and then a line of blue and below that the purple again.
It was a bit tricky positioning the gradient so it was central to the nail so I applied one coat of Maybelline Polka Dots Chalk Dust to hide some of the imperfections.

So I think this is my last gradient for a while guys! I'll see you in my next post :)

RED & ORANGE VERTICAL GRADIENT WITH ILLAMASQUA

*This is a scheduled post*

I do love gradients, they are one of my favourite nail art designs! They are easy to do and look amazing !
For this design I though I'd try to do a gradient a different way, so instead of a horizontal gradient I opted for a vertical gradient using Illamasqua Insanity and an unnamed red Illamasqua I got in a blog sale.
Once I'd done the gradient I topped it all off with Maybelline Chalk Dust from the Polka Dot Collection.

The gradient wasn't exactly down the centre of the nail but I really love this, do you?

PINK & BLUE SKITTLES WITH MAYBELLINE CHALK DUST

Hi guys, hope your all keeping well, I just have an old notd to show you today. For this I used Essie Lights and Kiko 340 on alternating fingers before topping it all with Maybelline Chalk Dust.

I loved the two colours here together and I loved how the Chalk Dust tied it all together :) Have you picked up this black and white glitter yet? I know it has a different name in the states.

ILLAMASQUA GAMMA & CHALK DUST GRADIENT

Hello everybody, how are you all today?
I'm not really a fan of orange nail polish but this neon orange, holy moly, this is freaking AWESOME!
Here I have done two coats of Illamasqua Gamma, and look at how neon and bright this is! It glows, look at the glow on my fingers! I have so much love for this polish, seriously if you like orange nail polish or neon/bright nail polish then you MUST go and get this !
Anyway I then used Maybelline Chalk dust for a glitter gradient at the tips!

Do you already own Gamma, if not why not?

STEP UP

So this is 2 coats of an old red Maybelline which is one of the best reds I own, then just some blue and green acrylic paint, this is one of those mani's that grew from playing around and I quite like it, it reminds me of Nailside's cloud mani's expect in square format, what do you guys think?

RANDOM DOTTY SPONGEY MINNIE MANI?

Yep this is  a rather random mani, I found this maybelline from ages ago and when I tested it I loved the colour the finish the formula everything ! So I put it on and had no idea what to do on on top of it, but I eventually just sponged on some orly winter wonderland on the tips and then added some random dots ! It kinda reminds me of minnie mouse ?
Yes shockingly I only uploaded 1 photo of this mani ! !!
