BEE NAILS

Hey guys, I am glad we have finally reached the end of the week! I have a huge amount of work to get through this weekend so I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to blog again.
Today I have some bee inspired nails. I used Butter London Pimms for my base colour, once it was dry I applied Illamasqua Swarm on my pointy and pinky and then I used the straight nail vinyls from She Sells Seashells and w7 black to paint on the stripes.

SUNSHINE NAILS - UK EDITION

Hi everyone, I hope your all having a lovely weekend! Today I went and picked up my very first car and I love it, then I went to my little cousins birthday party!
Today I have a fun mani to show you which to me is a true representation of the British weather.
We very rarely have a sunny day with blue skies, mostly the sun plays hide and seek with the clouds and more often than not it rains.
I have included a tutorial for you after the jump so click read more if you want to recreate these nails.

EASY SUMMER FLOWER NAILS

Hey guys, a really quick post from me today before I head off to bed. I can't remember if I saw this design on instagram and where, when my brain is working I will check!
Ok so I love yellow for summer and Essie Shorty Pants is my favourite yellow ever! I started off with 3 coats and used OPI Alpine Snow and a dotting tool to make the flowers, then I added a gold circle glequin in the centre of each flower. Unfortunately when the white flowers dried they ended up looking yellow :(

Ok, so that's it for now, I shall see you tomorrow hopefully :)

CHINA GLAZE OFF SHORE COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hey guys, I hope your all having a lovely weekend, it's a bank holiday here in the UK which means 3 day weekend \o/ Yaay!
So today I have an exciting post for you. Recently I ordered some of the China Glaze Off Shore collection from Nail Polish Direct and received them mid week, unfortunately the bottle of I Sea The Point had broken in transit and ruined my bottles of Shore Enuff and Stroked To Be Soaked. They did send me replacements so I had to swatch these quickly because honestly I've not had any time this week to do anything!
I chose 6 colours from the collection and I shall share my thoughts etc below, so click on to see the swatches and read my review :)

10 NAIL ART DESIGNS USING OPI SHEER TINTS

Hey  guys, sorry there's been no post for a few days, I have been working on this mammoth post !

When I first saw the Sheer Tints by OPI I was not excited, but then when I started seeing swatches etc. I thought they could be really good for nail art so I desperately waited for these and rung Sally's many times and dropped in (several times) after a long day of uni with the hope that they might have them in. They got them in about 2 weeks ago, I posted my haul on instagram so follow me on there to see more of my hauls etc.

I've created 10 different nail art designs using the I'm Never Embarrassed (yellow), Be Magentale With Me (pink), Don't Violet Me Down (purple) and I Can Teal You Like Me (blue).

All of the polishes have the same formula as a half used Seche Vite Top Coat, ie. thick and undesirable. They bubble like crazy though which you will see in all the pictures below, but they are so much fun to play with.

There's a lot to get through so I'll just talk over how I created each look.

Sit down, grab a cuppa and click read more to see all of the designs below :)

SWARM OF BEES

Hey guys, how are you? I'm so happy it's Friday, it feels like it's been a really long day!
So when I got Illamasqua Swarm this idea popped into my head and it's only recently I got round to trying it out!
I did 2 coats of Color Club Almost Famous on all the nails except the middle finger where I applied Kiko 340. I then used one medium coat of Swarm on all the nails except the middle finger where I used acrylic paint to paint on a beehive and used Swarm for 'bees'
This just screams summer to me :)

NEON POPTASTIC GRADIENT

Hey guys, how are you all? I'm really tired today, I had an 8am start at uni today which meant I had to get up at 5am, then when I finished at uni I had to go to work and now I'm really tired, I think I'm going to go to bed!

Oh and just for a bit of randomness, how many of you like the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte? I tried it for the first time today and I think it's horrible! The first few sips were ok but then it was just making me feel really sick, I know loads of people love it so am I just weird or is there anyone else out there who feels the same way?

Ok so enough of that, let's talk nails. I know it's freezing outside and summer said it's bye byes but this mani is an eye searingly bright neon sunset gradient using the Color Club Poptastic collection.
I used Almost Famous (yellow), Wham! Pow! (orange) and Warhol (pink) and a makeup sponge. These nails were really bright and unfortunately my camera blended the orange and pink together so you can't really see the pink at the tips in the pictures but trust me it's there and you can see it in real life!
I added Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night by Wet n Wild over the top!

Ok, so that's enough for today I'll see you all later :)

BUTTER LONDON COLOUR CLASH AUTUMN/WINTER 2013 REVIEW & SWATCHES

Happy Monday! (What do you mean no such thing?) Hehe, anyway I'm so excited to share this post with you guys !
Today I have four polishes from the Butter London Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection to show you guys. The collection consists of some lovely bright colours which probably would have been better suited for a summer collection but they're still pretty and hey, nothing stops me from wearing bright colours in the winter  !
Looking at the summer collection though it feels like they made a bit of a mix up and this should have been the summer collection and the summer collection for the fall but either way they're both still lovely collections and maybe Butter London are trying to break away from the stereotypical collections we normally see in the fall and if so I applaud them !

Ok so to see a review on each polish and more swatches just click on the read more button !

ASSEMBLE THE MINIONS !

Hey everyone! So today Despicable Me 2 comes out here and I had planned to watch it tomorrow but something has come up this weekend and I can't now :(
Anyway these nails were highly requested by my littlest brother, lol ! He loves the minions and has been asking me to paint them on my nails for ages, and it's been on my to do list and with the release of the second movie this weekend I thought it was the perfect time, so here are some Despicable Me nails for you !
I used 3 coats of Butter London Jasper and then painted on the rest of the details with acrylic paint and Barry M Silver Foil. I've also created a tutorial for you guys so you can recreate this design, but I think I'll post that tomorrow for you !

I didn't have room to paint on the overalls or the hair on them all, but apart from that I think they're pretty cute ! What do you guys think? Are you going to watch the movie this weekend?

BUTTER LONDON JASPER (SPRING 2013)

Hi guys, so anyone braving the sales today? Me, I'm just chilling at home watching too much tv and worrying about the enormous amount of work that awaits me !
I have a few mani's to show you but I had to post this first because I was way too excited! So the polish I have to show you today is part of Butter London's Sweetie Shop Collection for Spring 2013. I found this on Ebay for a reasonable price, not sure what it was doing on Ebay but oh well! It actually came before Christmas but I had way too many X mas manis to show you so I couldn't squeeze it in then.
Ok, so this is a gorgeous creamy pastel yellow creme, below is 3 thin coats (but on a swatch stick it only needed 2 coats) It was a little streaky but the formula was otherwise perfect and it doesn't look chalky which I love !

This collection will be released in January 2013, so will you be picking this up ?

SUNSHINE

Woow, thankyou for all the lovely comments on my last post, I am thinking of doing a tutorial for you, if you want?
Anyway seeing as mother nature is hiding the sun from us, I decided to wear some sun on my nails in the form of essie shorty pants !
I've mentioned before that I'm not a big fan of yellow polish, but I think it was a case of finding the right yellow polish, because I love this polish, I've worn it 3 times already and thinking of getting a backup !
Anyway I also wanted to try out my milani jewel fx in gold which I got from Karen so I used them for the accent nails
Needless to say I got a tonne of comments on these nails at school ! hehe !

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 3 - YELLOOOOWW

yep it's yellow day today : )
for this i thought i'd try one of my paler yellow's as opposed to my in your face yellows or neons! this is barry m lemon ice cream
i ruined the accent nail, i tried to do like a block gradient with 2 other yellows, but it turned into a fail : (

application of this was beautiful, and no streaky, yes a non streaky, easy to apply, 2 coat yellow : ) loll but i find the colour is a bit too pale for my liking, it just doesn't suit me imo but for £2.99 it's defo worth it : )
tomorrow's my favourite colour, can't wait  ; O take care chica's

this is china glaze yellow polka dot bikini, which is the brightest, neonest highlighter yellow ever! and my camera refuses to capture it : (
but unfortunately the yellow was a streaky neon horror ! this was 4 or 5 coats!

yes, i knocked the little finger, aargh! you can see where i've tried to fix it !

then i decided to add some white crackle, i quite like this combo and best thing, it hides all the flaws : ) lol
