AMAZING LIQUID PALISADE ALTERNATIVE!

Hey guys, I hope your year is getting off to a good start!
A couple of days ago Sabine posted an instagram video using liquid latex as an alternative to Liquid Palisade and well I ordered a bottle right there and then. It came a few days ago and I am in love so it deserves it's own blog post. I hope you'll find this useful and interesting!
Word of caution: If you are allergic to Latex do not use this product.
Liquid Palisade retails for $22 for 10ml which is supposed to last for 50 manis. Liquid Latex can be found on Amazon, Ebay, craft stores for around £5 for 250ml, Sabine paid 8 Euros for 500ml so the price varies but it's a lot cheaper when compared to Liquid Palisade. I don't think you'll ever run out a bottle that size! Just ensure the liquid latex you buy is safe for sking.
The ingredients in both products are very similar but the Palisade has added pigment in it. If for some reason you want yours to be coloured instead of white/clear then you simply add a bit of acrylic paint, food colouring etc.
So does it work well? Yes it's amazing! I used to use PVA glue but it takes forever to dry and you can't use it for watermarbling so this a very good alternative, it dries super fast, it's runnier and thicker than pva so it's less likely to rip when you peel it off. You can use this on the skin around the nail to ease clean up, peel off base coat and in nail art.

I poured some into an empty nail polish bottle to make it easier to use.

Awesome! I don't have a bad word to say about it, except oh it does a little bit of a funny smell which disappears once it's dry.

MAYBELLINE ACID WASH EFFECT TOP SPLATTER AKA PRECIOUS PEARL

Happy Weekend guys, what are your plans for this weekend?
So recently Maybelline have been releasing awesome collections like the ones I've swatched here and here and when I saw the Acid Wash collection I was ready to get them all but then when I saw them in the store they just didn't grab me! So I only picked up the Top Splatter.
This same polish is from the Polished Jewels Collection in the US and is called Precious Pearl. Also I do believe this may be a dupe for the newly released Storm by Picture Polish.

KIKO 336

This polish has stolen my heart ! My favourite blue polish (and I have a lot of blue polish!)
This is supposed to be a dead on dupe for Nails Inc Baker Street (I don't have Baker Street so I can't do a comparison) so when my parents went to Rome I asked them to pick this one up for me and boy do I love this !
The first time I put this on, it was late at night and I was disappointed ! Yes it was nice, but I just didn't see the hype this shade had got and if this was the Nails Inc dupe I was glad I hadn't forked out £11 for Baker Street ! I left it on  though and the next day in the sunlight this just blew me away ! Yes, this is gorgeous!
Perfect bright blue which is slightly dusty and not neon !

Below is 2 coats and no topcoat

Gosh, just seeing these pictures again makes me want to go on put it on again !
What do you guys think about this shade? Do you own this or Baker Street?

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY

Yep, it's my birthday today, and to be honest I'm feeling my age ! (I'm 19 now, but still it's old for me !)
Anyway's I'm not really doing anything for my birthday, they're not really a big thing for me anymore because for the past 5 years I've always had an exam either on my birthday or like a day after ! So, there wasn't time to celebrate ! loll
Anyways a very quick post to show you my nails, I've been loving the recent new accent nails and wore them a lot a couple of weeks ago and decided to feature it again for my birthday ; )
I used wet and wild  diamond in the rough and then for the pointy and middle finger I did 2 coats of essencegot a secret and 1 coat of milani gems because you can't have birthday nails without lippmann happy birthday (or it's many dupes ; ))

I also remembered I have a pairs of earring that match ditr!

Anways I'll talk to you all soon : )

DUPE ALERT, OPI ALL SHOOK UP vs ZOYA SYLVIE

hey everybody, hi dr nick, 'xcuse the simpsons reference lol, im in one of my hyper moods again lol, it might be this nail polish loll,
you might remember my hauls from sometime ago, well it contained opi 'all shook up' i found out it's an old opi and it's been discontinued, anyway when i went to go and put it in my stash i found lo and behold it was very similar to zoya sylvie so i thought i'd do a comparison for you
oh yeah and another thing i have organised my stash by colour and i just couldn't decide if this should go pink or red, (i may just be colour blind lol) so i got the help of none other than my 7 yr old brother and when he said pink, it went in with the pinks !

anyway on to the pictures

bottle shot

middle and little finger have opi , the other two fingers zoya

this is the thumb, the left half is opi the other half is zoya, and you can see the overlap in the middle loll

close up of the zoya, it's more red than the opi and its thinner and sheerer, this needed 3 coats

and this is the opi, look at the hint of pink/purple in there !! this could have been a one coater, but i did 2

overall these 2 are quite similar but also quite different lol, i think i need both but i'm not too sure.
i love the colour of them both and must admit even though i have tonnes of red nail polish, i haven't worn any red in months, last time i wore it someone made a comment about how my nails looked like prostitute nails and i know i shouldn't care about what people say but it did put me off a little, but after this i am definitely wearing this again : )

see ya soon ladies
