MAYBELLINE STREET CHIC COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hey everyone, how are you all? Well I have a tonne of revision to do and on Thursday I went and picked up the Maybelline Street Chic polishes from Boots and I wasn't going to swatch them until after my exams next week but I had a bad day yesterday and I didn't feel like working so I decided to swatch these, unfortunately I didn't have time to edit the pictures last night so I did them today and here you are :)
So I know there are more than 4 in this collection but only 4 have been released in the UK which I have to show you today!

Ok, so to avoid repeating myself all the swatches are one coat of the Maybelline polish over the base colour and one coat of Angelica Gel Finish topcoat* (which is an amazing top coat for glitters).
The formula on all of these was excellent and they gave the perfect coverage. There wasn't too much base or too much glitter so there wasn't any need for any dabbing or anything like that!

Ok so first up is Alley Attitude, which is a matte black and turquoise glitter topper.
I've applied one coat over 3 coasts of Barry M Gelly in Prickly Pear.

Next up is Urban Vibe, which is matte black and pastel orange glitter topper.
I've applied one coat over Essence Got A Secret?

Thirdly we have Boom Box Black, this is a matte black and lime coloured glitter topper.
I've applied one coat over one coat of Nails Inc Albert Place.

When I was about to take off the above combination I was reaching for the nail polish remover and OPI The Thrill Of Brazil was sitting next to it and I thought it would look really cool with Boom Box Black so this is a bonus swatch for you guys : )

Finally we have White Splatter which looks super cool in the bottle! It has various matte white glitter, tiny purple square glitter and teal/green glitter.
The purple glitter doesn't look square irl, in fact it wasn't until I took the close up shots that I realised it was square glitter lol!
I applied one coat over two coats of Angelica Nails Black*

As a little bonus, I applied one coat of each glitter over a nude, here I used Sally Hansen Bandage.

Do I recommend these? Definitely, they have a great formula, they look very unique and indieesque, are on the affordable side too!
You can buy these for £3.99 each and Boots currently have an offer on for buy one get one half price so pick them up while you can :)

*These products were sent to me for my honesy review. See my disclosure policy for more details

    1. No me neither, but it is cool and to be honest you can kind of avoid getting any bar glitter on the nail!
