NUDE FLOWER GLEQUINS!

*this is a scheduled post*

I haven't played with glequins in quite a while so I pulled out my new set and used these two lovely colours to make some flowers over 2 coats of Essence Nude Glam in Cafe Ole. This was my first time using these glequins and unfortunately the colour bled when I applied topcoat!

Have your glequins every bled?

DIAGONAL GRADIENT

*This is a scheduled post*

I'm still experimenting with gradients, this time I've done the gradient diagonally across the nail, For this I used Illamasqua Grab and China Glaze Def Defying. The placement of this gradient was a bit tricky if you get what I mean, so all the nails weren't really the same! I then added one coat of Ninja Polish Sticks n' Stones.

I loved this, well I kinda love all gradients! Tee hee

RED & ORANGE VERTICAL GRADIENT WITH ILLAMASQUA

*This is a scheduled post*

I do love gradients, they are one of my favourite nail art designs! They are easy to do and look amazing !
For this design I though I'd try to do a gradient a different way, so instead of a horizontal gradient I opted for a vertical gradient using Illamasqua Insanity and an unnamed red Illamasqua I got in a blog sale.
Once I'd done the gradient I topped it all off with Maybelline Chalk Dust from the Polka Dot Collection.

The gradient wasn't exactly down the centre of the nail but I really love this, do you?

ILLAMASQUA FORCE & SQUARE GLEQUINS

 *this is a scheduled post*

Hola my friends, how are you all? When I googled Illamasqua Force, the majority of the swatches showed and amazing bright blue! So when I actually got it I was disappointed, it's not actually bright blue, it's a periwinkle blue which leans towards purple quite a bit.

It's still a gorgeous colour but  not what I was expecting!

Anyway I also recently ordered some square glequins and they were incredibly disappointing, they aren't square, there are rectangular, uneven and irregular. I made this design thing on all the nails here but it ended up looking like a hot mess. I applied a matte topcoat to try and make it look better but it didn't really help.

If anyone knows where I can get some good square glequins from please let me know!

GLEQUIN CUBES

*this is a scheduled post*

Hi guys, how are you all? I'm currently on holiday and I actually don't have any internet access on the island, so I will be responding to all comments, emails etc. when I get back!

When I doodle, I don't draw love hearts or that sort of stuff, no, instead I fill the page with cubes, I love drawing cubes and kind of draw them over all my books, folders, papers etc. So I was really really excited when I got my diamond glequins because I couldn't wait to make these awesome cubes all over my nails!

I painted my nails with two coats of w7 Black and then used all the different coloured glequins to create these awesome cubes!

These were so sparkly, Sparkly things make me smile.

NAILS INC LEATHER EFFECT - SOHO MEWS

*this is a scheduled post*

Hi everyone, today I have aa textured polish to share with you. This is Soho Mews from Nails Inc, a lovely nude. The texture in this polish is different to the texture in the OPI Liquid Sands, they are more gritty glitters whereas this is more a creme polish with bits in it.
The formula is really good, it's almost perfect in one coat but I used two out of habit. The overall effect isn't too gritty which makes the polish look like leather, which I like.
The polish comes in a set with 4 gold skull studs, a mini orange wood stick and nail glue. The skull studs are unfortunately too big for my nails, they only just managed to fit onto the thumb nail. Unfortunately the glue in my set was empty or dried up or something like that because no glue came out! Instead I used topcoat which did the job but they didn't stay on for very long.

Well, that's it guys! I must say I really like the polish even though I don't like textured polish and it's a gorgeous nude nail polish which means it's very work appropriate whilst still being very cool and interesting. The skull embellishments in the set don't last very long but I think they'd work well for an occasion.
You can pick this set up from QVC for £17!

*The products in this post were sent to me for my review. See my disclosure policy for more details
