3 COLOUR ILLAMASQUA GRADIENT & OPI PURE

Hi my friends, how are you all? I am exhausted so I'm not going to bore you with my nonsensical ramblings, instead I'll just show you pretty nails :)
For these nails I started off with one coat of white polish, I then Illamasqua Force, Obsess and Muse for this 3 colour gradient. I then applied one coat of OPI Pure 18k White Gold Top Coat on top. I didn't apply top coat to this so it's not got a very shiny finish.
This is not totally colour accurate but I lurve it ;)

ILLAMASQUA PERSEID

Hey peeps, I hope your all having a great start to the week. I have a lot of revision to be getting on with but I am lacking motivation!

Anyway a while ago I treated myself to some Illamasqua's, among my little haul was Perseid. I saw this in the Illamasqua store at Christmas and it looked gorgeous in the bottle but when I saw the few swatches that popped up and the disappointed reviews I was turned off but it's really beautiful and I thought I might be able to make it look good so I got it.

I've used two coats and the formula is ok, it does clump a little because of the glitter in it but it's not a big issue. It does dry quite gritty so I used 2 thick coats of Top Coat.

It's a deep purple base with silver and black holographic hex glitter, smaller holo silver glitter and green shimmer, so there's a lot going on! Unfortunately the base is too dark and overshadows most of the glitter, the ratio of base to glitter is also a bit too much so I decided to swipe the nail (once it had dried) with acetone to see if it looked any better. You can see those swatches further down.

After a swipe of acetone, the glitter is more visible and it's a lot sparklier!

As you can see it does look better after a swipe of acetone but I can't be bothered with that to be honest. So yes, it was a great idea but it wasn't executed well which is why I am disappointed with this! I'll still keep it because I love Illamasqua and it's very unique but I wouldn't recommend you buy this!

10 NAIL ART DESIGNS USING OPI SHEER TINTS

Hey  guys, sorry there's been no post for a few days, I have been working on this mammoth post !

When I first saw the Sheer Tints by OPI I was not excited, but then when I started seeing swatches etc. I thought they could be really good for nail art so I desperately waited for these and rung Sally's many times and dropped in (several times) after a long day of uni with the hope that they might have them in. They got them in about 2 weeks ago, I posted my haul on instagram so follow me on there to see more of my hauls etc.

I've created 10 different nail art designs using the I'm Never Embarrassed (yellow), Be Magentale With Me (pink), Don't Violet Me Down (purple) and I Can Teal You Like Me (blue).

All of the polishes have the same formula as a half used Seche Vite Top Coat, ie. thick and undesirable. They bubble like crazy though which you will see in all the pictures below, but they are so much fun to play with.

There's a lot to get through so I'll just talk over how I created each look.

Sit down, grab a cuppa and click read more to see all of the designs below :)

TEXTURED HEART PATCHES

Hey guys, so I'm about to sit and edit about 600 photos of 10-12 different nail art designs you can do with the OPI Sheer Tints, it's been a mammoth project and I can't wait to have to post up for you!
For todays nails I started off with two coats of OPI Big Apple Red, I then used white acrylic paint and drew the outline of the hearts, after that I used OPI Emotions and a dotting tool to fill in the shapes. After that had dried I drew small patchwork lines along the shape and that's it!

I love using textured polishes in nail art, actually that's the only way I wear them, haha!

ILLAMASQUA FACET

Hey peeps, how are you all? I'm really tired and aching today :(
Back in January (I think) I treated myself to some Illamasqua's and I asked for recommendations on instagram and Facet got the top vote! I wasn't excited when I first saw but then gorgeous swatches started popping up and I knew I had to have it!
The parcel arrived at my work and my manager saw the polishes before I did and she stole Facet because she loved it so much lol! She did return it 2 days later and I got a chance to try it out for myself.
I've used two coats below and applied one coat of top coat.

My swatches aren't the best but this polish is so beautiful, you must own this!

ILLAMASQUA GLAMORE COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hey guys, I hope you've had a lovely weekend. My weekend was good,  we had some friends over yesterday and then today I spent half the day painting walls, I actually don't mind painting so I'm happy but tired!
Anyway today I have the Glamore collection from Illamasqua! I wasn't planning on buying these because you guys know I'm not a fan of textured polishes but then I bought the lipsticks for my mum and they had an offer on so I just bought them!
So I was a just a tiny bit disappointed when I saw these because I don't like textured nail polishes but these are lovely and I will wear them with topcoat :)
I have used 2 coats for each swatch, I've included swatches with and without topcoat.

First up is Trilliant, this is a lovely Nudey Champagne colour which I didn't think I'd like but I actually do. It wasn't overly textured either.

Below I've used two coats of Essence Better Than Gel Top Coat Sealer.

Next is Fire Rose, this is a super girly pink explosion! Not really my thing but still very pretty. The silver glitter in it cools the pink down a little bit and it looks slightly metallic. This was as textured as Trilliant.

Below I've used two coats of Essence Better Than Gel Top Coat Sealer.

Finally we have Marquise, which is so so gorgeous! It's more orange irl than my pictures show and the shimmer in it is more vibrant irl too. In the bottle the shimmer looks like it may be a bit duochrome but it's not on the nail. This doesn't have hex glitter in it like the other two so the texture is different in this one and more tolerable for me.

In the bottle the shimmer looks like it may be a bit duochrome but it's not on the nail. I think this looks even better with topcoat!

So that's all the swatches, I hope you liked them! They're all soo sparkly and even more so when you apply topcoat. They all apply really easily and cover really well. You can buy these from the Illamasqua website for £15 hereOverall it's a nice collection and my favourite is Marquise, what's yours?
