BLUE TEXTURED TIPS

Hi everyone, how have you all been, have you had a good weekend?  So yesterday I went on a Mount Snowdon trek, unfortunately we didn't make it to the top becuase of poor weather conditions, namely ice/snow and really strong winds which completely knocked you over! It was still a fun day though and I am planning on returning in the summer to reach the top ;)
Recently I bought OPI Kiss Me At Midnight, I was under the impression that this was as bright as Nails Inc Baker Street and unfortunately it's not but it's still nice. So you guys know that the first thing I do when I a textured polish is use it on the tips like I have done here and here. I decided to pair this with Kiko 336 which is a close dupe to Nails Inc Baker Street.

I was a little bit impatient and applied a fast drying topcoat and applied the tape too early so you can see the tape has left an imprint in the base colour.
Ok guys, have a lovely Monday and I'll see you in the next post : )

PURPLE OPI TEXTURED TAPE TIPS

Hey guys, how are you all doing? The weekend goes by so quickly :(
Remember this mani here, well I decided I wanted to try it out again but with different colours so I decided to use OPI Vesper and Funky Dunkey.
I started off with two coats of Funky Dunkey and then when that was dry I used two pieces of Striping tape to make the criss cross tips and then applied Vesper and that was it. I didn't apply topcoat because I wanted the texture to show through which is a nice contrast :)

I love the contrast in texture and Vesper is so pretty at one coat because you can see the black glitter in a purple base, when you use 2 or more coats it just looks very dark and you can see tiny hints of black glitter at the edges of the nail, so I prefer to use it this way :)

illamasqua paranormal quad

Hi guys, Mondays are tough aren't they? Anyway thankfully it's over and so now I can show you some nails :)
For these nails I used OPI San Tan Tonio as a nude base and then with striping tape and Illamasqua Omen and Seance (from the Paranormal collection) and made these quad nails.
They aren't perfect but I quite like them, I love these Illamasqua polishes, they're so gorgeous but Seance is not as pink as it appears in the picture.

Not my best ever work but still I quite liked the simplicity of it! Do you like quad nails?

HALF & HALF

How are you guys enjoying your weekend?
So today this is what I have to show you, to do this nail design I started off with 2 coats of OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, when that was dry I used striping tape down the middle of the nail and painted the other half of the nail with OPI Suzi's Hungary Again and then because my circle glequins were staring at me on my desk I decided to use the white ones down the middle of the nail.

I'm not entirely sure if I like this design or if the colours work together? What do you guys think yay or nay?

OPI BLUE TAPE MANI

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, it was a busy day yesterday which is why I didn't get to post for International Nail Art Day. We went on a day trip to Hampton Court Palace which is a 4 hour drive from us, we had a lovely day but ended up home really tired ! What did you guys get up to?
For these nails I did 2 coats of OPI Can't Find My Czechbook and when that was dry I used striping tape and created the following design by painting on OPI Swimsuit Nailed It.

So that's it, have a lovely week guys :)

OPI DON'T TALK BACH TO ME & TEXTURED TAPED TIPS

So I actually did these nails when I got back from my holiday to the south coast! I picked up both OPI The mini Oz collection and OPI Don't Talk Bach To Me (which was on sale) on the ferry to France.
I didn't paint my nails on holiday because to be honest our cottage was horrible, like the worst cottage we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in plenty), and it was small so I didn't want to stink the place out with  nail polish, also we went exploring every day and ended up getting back quite late every night and after that we'd all be cream crackered!

Anywho so when I got back home I sat and stared at my new polishes and waited for inspiration to strike and well I ended up with this !
This is 2 coats of OPI Don't Talk Bach To Me, I then used striping tape at the tips and OPI What Wizardry is This? I was too impatient to let me contrast between the textured polish and the regular polish show through so I applied a nice thick layer of topcoat.

As you can see I was maybe a little too impatient and knocked my pinky!

CRISS CROSS GRADIENT TAPE NAILS

I hope you guys all enjoyed your weekend, these past 4 days for me have been crazy !
Anyway quite a few months ago I saw a gorgeous mani on Instagram by Nailing Around, where over a nude colour she used tape to make a criss cross effect with striping tape and sponged over a blue, purple and green gradient, which is exactly what I did here !
Mine didn't turn out anywhere as amazing as hers did but it still looks ok !

I used China Glaze Sydney Sand as my nude colour and then used 3 Color Club polishes for the gradient.

I'm still very much a novice when it comes to tape manis so don't judge too harshly!
I hope you all have a nice start to the week tomorrow :)

BLACK & GOLD SKITTLES NAILS

I very rarely do skittle nails. mainly because I don't have enough ideas for 5 different nails
Well this mani started with Mac Nocturnelle and  gold holographic striping tape (which is really fiddly and lost all holoness and some of it's colour with topcoat) which I applied in a criss cross way on my pointy finger and because that nail alone took like 10 mins, I decided to use the bullion beads on my desk for my middle finger and then I used Barry M gold foil to stamp the necklaces and used Milani Gold Gems to create a shiny gemstone on the necklace and then once I'd sat for 10 minutes clueless as to what do on my pinky I did a gradient with milani gems !
Well that's a right tale, I hope you like the final effect, I do : )
