HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN NAILS!

Hi guys, hope your having a lovely day! Today I have my final Halloween nails design using the Halloween nail vinyls from She Sells Seashells
I did 2 coats of Barry M Chai as a base and then painted on these black stripes which are supposed to have a hypnotic kind of effect, if you get where I'm coming from. If you aren't confident with free handing the stripes you can use these straight nail vinyls.
In the centre of the nail I added one of these cute little pumpkin vinyl stickers!

SUNSHINE NAILS - UK EDITION

Hi everyone, I hope your all having a lovely weekend! Today I went and picked up my very first car and I love it, then I went to my little cousins birthday party!
Today I have a fun mani to show you which to me is a true representation of the British weather.
We very rarely have a sunny day with blue skies, mostly the sun plays hide and seek with the clouds and more often than not it rains.
I have included a tutorial for you after the jump so click read more if you want to recreate these nails.

ESSIE TRUTH OR FLARE

Hey guys, how are you all? Today I have a really pretty Essie polish from their Spring 2014 collection and a review of www.nailpolish.co.uk

I believe they are a relatively new online store which offers a wide selection of nail polish ranging from Barry M to OPI. They didn't actually have OPI when I received this Essie to review so they are adding new lines regularly so it's worth checking their store every now and then.
They offer free first class delivery in the UK which is always a bonus! However their packaging is not the best, I received my polish in a jiffy bag without any bubble wrap or any other type of packing. Neither did the parcel have the Royal Mail ID8000 label which is needed on all parcels containing nail polish! They are a new company though so they'll probably change this but I just thought I'd warn you.

Ok, let's get on to the actual nail polish itself now! This is Truth or Flare* from this years Spring collection. It's a very lovely slightly dusty blue/grey colour which looks very sophisticated and I'm sure it'll make a great base for nail art!
I had to use 3 coats as it was a touch on the sheer side but I think it'll thicken up a little with time meaning it'll cover in 2 coats. I didn't apply top coat here and it's pretty darn shiny!

You can find this here from nailpolish.co.uk.
Have you tried this colour out before and what are you thoughts?

NEON PINK DIAMOND GLEQUINS

Hey peeps, how are you all? Today I have another mani using some of the awesome glequins from DesignsbyV, for these nails I used these neon pink rhombus glequins*
I wasn't sure what to pair these with, in the end I decided to go with something neutral. So I started off with a coat of Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and sponged on some Essence Got A Secret and Barry M Grey. When I applied topcoat the sponging effect more or less disappeared but I love the glequins, I haven't seen anything like them before and guess what... I love neon glequins!

Ok, I think I may have rambled a bit but my head is tonight working not properly.

IRIDESCENT DIAMOND GLEQUIN NAILS

Hey guys, so when I did this mani I did my pinky and thought it looked pretty rubbish and so I wasn't going to continue with the other nails but then someone came round to the house and I didn't really want to see them so I stayed in my room and decided to continue, and funnily enough by the end of it I loved them, haha!
To do these then I started off with 2 coats of Deborah Lippmann Stormy Weather which I picked up cheaply in TK Maxx. I then used various different coloured iridescent glequins for the glitter placement before applying a thick coat of top coat, and because the glequins are translucent my placement is a bit sloppy here, oops!
It's not as 'in your face' as most glitter placement nails but hit the light at the right angle and you got a gorgeous flash of different colours!

Ok, so that's it for today, I have another beautiful Lippmann to show you tomorrow :)

ILLAMASQUA RAINDROPS & HOLOGRAPHIC PINK DISC GLEQUINS

Hey guys, how are you all? I'm sad the holidays are over : (
Anywho here are the nails I did to cheer me up ! I shared a sneaky peak video on my instagram yesterday so be sure to follow me on there for more sneak peaks and behind the scenes, hehe!
Ok so these holographic pink disc glequins* were amongst the package I was sent from The Glitter Shop and I just knew I wanted to pair them with grey. So I started off with one coat of Essence Got A Secret (my favourite grey) then applied one coat of Illamasqua Raindrops before applying the glequins. I then applied two coats of NYC Turbo Dry Top Coat.

Urgh, this is so so sparkly and I love this type of glitter so much, actually I think this is my favourite type of glitter I've ever used! I have the same glequins in different colours so I hope your not sick of these yet because there's still more to come : )
You can buy these glequins here, for some reason they're only showing the silver ones at the moment but if you email them I'm sure they'll be happy to help you.
Ok, so I hope you have a good week, I have a lot of studying to do this week so I might not see you until the week after now so take care until then guys! :)

*Some of the products in this post were sent to me for my review. See my disclosure policy for more details

ORANGES FAIL !

Hi guys, hope your all good :)
I've been super busy this week so I haven't really had time to type up a blog post! So wow, I was rather overwhelmed with the response to my last post, I'm so glad you guys liked it :)
Anyway so this was a big fail, I was sat staring at my nail polishes (as you do) and saw Butter London Silly Billy and it just made me think ORANGES!! so I thought I'd paint them on my nails and it turned out terrible!
I started off with two coats of Essence Got A Secret and then used a dotting tool and made dots with Silly Billy and used black acrylic paint and my nail art brush to draw on the rest of the details.
Yeah, so they don't look like oranges.

GLEQUIN TIPS

Hi guys, how are you all doing?
I'm just enjoying a hot cup of tea whilst watching The Proposal (awesome movie!) The weather here has been crazy the past few days, we've had so much snow and it's been so cold! We had a snow day on Friday so I've spent the weekend with my family watching movies and wrapping up warm! How's your weekend been?
Anywho onto nail matters, as I've mentioned previously I am on a glequin kick and the most common comment I get about my glequin manis is how some of you don't have the patience or time to sit and glequify the whole nail. So I created this mani with you guys in mind, it's uber simple and quick to do, instead of applying glequins to the whole nail you can just apply them to the tips and it's still shiny and awesome looking.
For these nails I started out with 2 coats of China Glaze Elephant Walk and then applied some topcoat to the tips and applied 2 rows of glequins at the tips and sealed it all in with a layer of topcoat!

Oh also as you can see I've started watermarking my photo's now I think it looks ok, but there is room for improvement, let me know what you think, it's not too distracting or anything like that for you guys?

Anyways I hope you guys give this a try, if you do leave me a link in the comments so I can check it out.
Ok then till next time :)

MODELS OWN MIRRORBALLS - STRIPED

How's your weekend been guys, mine has been pretty boring (but sometimes boring is good right)
So today I have another mani which features all 5 Models Own Mirrorball polishes.
This is 2 coats of Essence Got a Secret and then I just painted alternate stripes using the different Mirrorballs, I can't remember which polishes I used where but it's a really random pattern so you can just do whatever you want really.
It was really quite easy to do but the brush on my bottle of Hot Stuff was horrible, wonky and bristles in every direction which did make it a bit difficult.

So guys enjoy the rest of your Sunday and I'll talk to you again soon : )

MODELS OWN - ALL 5 MIRRORBALLS LAYERED

I'm really sorry guys that I haven't posted in a while, my laptop broke last week and so I've given it to a friend to fix but I have no idea when I'll get it back, so in the meantime I'm using my brother's little netbook which I don't really like and it also means I can't edit my photo's. Anywho today I spent nearly 3 hours editing photo's, I'm still not chuffed with them but it's the best I can do with what I have !
Anyway so this mani is 2 coats of Essence Got a Secret and then 1 coat of each of the 5 mirrorball polishes (Freak Out, Boogie Nights, Hot Stuff, Dancing Queen, Disco Inferno)
This was a really glittery mani, so blingy! They actually looked like little mirrorballs, I wish I could have taken a picture in the sunlight because it was blinding !

I have yet to use these separately actually, but I'm pretty sure they won't disappoint. Have you guys picked these up yet?
