TEAL ILLAMASQUA COMPARISON GRADIENT & BLIZZARD & PAISLEY NAIL ART

Hey everyone, this week has been so busy! It's my besties wedding this weekend which means I won't have time to do any university work and next week is the deadline for my essay and oral presentation, which is why I was awake until 5am last night working! Anywho I have some more gradient nails to share with you today. I did these a while ago but I will be doing them again this weekend for the wedding as my outfit is teal and these will just look amazing!
I ordered Illamasqua Venous from their latest sale and when I got it I thought it may be a dupe for Illamasqua Muse and I thought some other poeple may have had the same thought. So when I held them next to each other I was happy to see they weren't a dupe but they were rather similar so I thought I'd do a little comparison of the two but in a gradient this time!
I used Venous closest to the cuticle and Muse at the tips. I then used Illamasqua Blizzard, which was another purchase from the same sale, on the pinky and pointed finger. On the middle two fingers I used the silver* Art Deco acrylic paint, which I've already raved about, to paint on the paisley design.

ILNP SIRENE & LACE NAIL ART

Hey guys, how are you all doing?
So I absolutely love lace nail art, I think it just looks so so beautiful on the nails. Unfortunately I don't own any lace stamping nails or decals so I have to be old fashioned and paint them on! I got this design from instagram I think or actually I'm not sure my memory is so bad!
I started off with one coat of ILNP Sirene over a black base and then I used a silver gel pen which you can get from anywhere, I think I got mine from Asda. I waited about 5 minutes so I didn't smudge it and then applied topcoat .
Please excuse the tip wear, I added the lace on the 2nd day of wear, and my skin is a funky colour here too but please try to ignore that and look at the pretty nails :)

Ok, so does anyone want to see a tutorial for the lace ? I have a few more lace designs I want to try out and I shall share those when I get round to them!

BARRY M GELLY GRADIENT NAILS & ESSENCE 101 DALMATIONS

Hey guys, I have a really quick post for you today. A few months ago I felt like I was missing something so I went and purchased 90% of the Barry M Gelly collection. You'll be seeing these a lot now in the next couple of posts.
One of the first designs I did was a gradient using Key Lime and Guava. How gorgeous are these 2 colours together?
I decided to add one coat of Essence Effects in 101 Dalmations* over the top.

Yes, I love it, these 2 colours work amazing together and the Gellys are perfect for gradients, the colours blend together flawlessly.

ILNP SIRENE

Hey guys, today I have another gorgeous ultra chrome from ILNP to share with you.
This is Sirene, a very unique and gorgeous multichrome,
In the first two pictures I've applied one coat over black and yes my nails are longer. I wore this about a week ago with a black base and retook some more pictures because when I wore it alone with 3 coats (a while ago) the camera didn't pick up how intense the shift was.

Ok, the rest of the pictures are 3 coats of Sirene on it's own, except the pinky which only has 2 coats.

Such a gorgeous multichrome and no dupes come to mind either which makes me love it even more. It is quite sheer so I do recommend using a black nail polish for undies.

3 COLOUR ILLAMASQUA GRADIENT & OPI PURE

Hi my friends, how are you all? I am exhausted so I'm not going to bore you with my nonsensical ramblings, instead I'll just show you pretty nails :)
For these nails I started off with one coat of white polish, I then Illamasqua Force, Obsess and Muse for this 3 colour gradient. I then applied one coat of OPI Pure 18k White Gold Top Coat on top. I didn't apply top coat to this so it's not got a very shiny finish.
This is not totally colour accurate but I lurve it ;)

TEAL & HOLO RED CHECKERBOARD GLITTER PLACEMENT NAILS

Hey everyone, hope your all having a lovely week :)
I had a lovely day today, I went to watch Frozen and it was really good, have you seen it? Well, my next manicure will have to be Olaf nails now, haha!
Ok, so onto todays nails, I bought some square glitter from ebay back at Christmas and it was a huge disappointment when I finally got them, but included in this set was a pot of these red holographic rectangles squares and I decided to use them with Illamasqua Muse.
I applied two coats of Muse and then placed the glitter in a checkerboard pattern before applying two coats of topcoat to smooth it all out. I love this colour combination!

The glequins weren't all the same size or shape which was really frustrating but from a normal distance you can't tell and it looks awesome !

MERMAID NAILS

This was such an amazing idea in my head and it turned into a hot mess !
I got some iridescent glequins and thought they'd look really beautiful in a mermaid themed nail art.
So you want to know how I created this mess? Well, I started with 2 coats of Kiko 341 then sponged on some Essence Choose Me, then I applied all these iridescent glequins in no perfect order, when that was dry I used Barry M Gold Foil and tried to draw on some gold scales but the surface was uneven and the lines too thick which resulted in a big mess, so I stopped after two fingers and after about 30 pictures this was the only which I could consider showing you guys!

It took me ages to do these nails and it ended in disappointment unfortunately, but hey ho, win some, lose some!

TEAL KIKO & HOLOGRAPHIC GLEQUINS

I told you guys I had a glequin obsession well this mani is only the beginning! This is my first time using the holographic glequins in the big pot, I found these glitter pieces to be smaller than the ones in this set so each nail takes a little bit longer to do, but I only did the accent nail so it didn't really make much difference to me!

So for these nails I painted on 2 coats of Kiko 341 which is a lovely teal colour with a perfect formula (I love love love Kiko nail polishes and need a lot more, their cremes are the best) I then applied the glequins in a honeycomb pattern on my accent nail !

Ok, so that's it and I'll see you guys again soon, enjoy your weekend !
