CATRICE KING OF GREENS & HOLO GOLD STRIP GLITTER PLACEMENT

Hi my friends, how are you all? I'm super cold right now just waiting to go work.
Today I have some cute and easy glitter placement nails. In the package I received from DesignsbyV there was some gold holo bar glitter*, they're not the easiest to work with and you can't really do a full glitter placement with them. So I decided to use them to make a pattern like I've done here before.
I started off with 2 coats of Catrice King of Greens and then did the glitter placement. It wasn't difficult to do in fact it was quite easy and didn't take very long so this is something you can try out if you don't have a lot of time.

Ok, I'll see you guys tomorrow :)

CATRICE LILACTRIC

Hey guys, I have a really quick post today, I was heading to bed but I thought I'd post this today quickly.
This is 2 easy coats of Catrice Lilactric, a really pretty soft shade which I think would look perfect in spring but unfortunately I don't think it suits me!
I haven't used topcoat because it was quite shiny and the shimmer already stood out!
Please excuse the dry cuticles, I wasn't going to post this actually but I thought it was such a pretty shade I couldn't not share it!

CATRICE SQUEEZE ME & CULT NAILS CLAIRVOYANT

Hey chicas, how are you all doing?
I've just got a lovely combination I wore a while ago. I had worn Squeeze Me for a day and then whilst browsing my stash I rediscovered Clairvoyant by Cult Nails. Remember when everyone was crazy about this polish?

Ok, so that's it, yeah I think I'm over flakies, which is a real shame because I remember how much I used to love them. I do still have a few which I love namely the Finger Paints flakies from 2011, I was lucky to get the whole set from the beautiful Karen in a swap :D This polish never really lived up to the hype for me, how do you feel about this polish and flakies?

CATRICE SQUEEZE ME

Hey everybody, what have you been up to today? Yesterday I got my recent exam results and I passed them all, yaay! So today I decided to treat myself to some Illamasqua polishes, yaay! I can't wait for them to come :)
Today I have another beautiful Catrice polish to show you, this is Squeeze Me, I wasn't sure if I'd like this but when I put it on I fell in love! It has such beautiful shimmer in it.
I've used two coats below and one coat of top coat.

I layered something beautiful over this so check back tomorrow to see what I layered over the top and don't forget to smile :)

CATRICE PURPLE REIGN

Hey everybody, how are you all? I am super tired and drained today, I've been up since 6am and today me and my friends went bowling and despite my nails already being nubs I managed to break my thumb nail, so now it's a super nub, haha!
So today I have a really pretty polish to show you, this is Catrice Purple Reign. It has gorgeous blue microflakes in it but they're more visible in the bottle than on the nail and more in direct light too. It has a lovely formula and I've used two coats below and one coat of top coat.

I'm not sure if this is being discontinued or if it's part of the core range now but either way if you don't have this you need it!

MINTY ONE STROKE ROUND FLOWERS

Hey guys, hows your week started? I have spent most of today painting my nails and trying out different techniques and designs, some of which you'll see soon :)

So I felt like painting something different to the regular one stroke flowers etc. which is how this design was born.
I started off with 2 coats of Catrice Sold Out Forever (please don't ask me which version this is because there are quite a few and I find it slightly frustrating!) Then I used 2 blue acrylic paints, one dark blue and one lighter blue, then I just kinda pressed down on the brush so the bristles spread out on the nail and rotated to form a circle shape. I then outlined the flowers with some black acrylic paint and added some white dots in the center before finishing it all off with topcoat.
What do you guys think? The technique is quite easy but it takes a little bit of practice which you can see I need lol!

This is dodgy hand pose but I included it because you can see the difference between the 2 blues in the flowers a bit more clearly.

See you in the next post then guys, take care :)

CATRICE PEACHY GLITTER GRADIENT

Hola ! How are you guys today, I'm so tired, its been a long day :( We had CPR training at work this morning and everyone ended up talking about my nail polish whilst I was doing chest compressions lol!

So I haven't really done any glitter gradients in like forever, mainly because every time I tried I used a makeup sponge for the glitter and it never worked out how I wanted it to. So a couple of weeks ago I saw someone mentioning that they just applied the glitter using the polish brush and though 'hey! let's give it a try' and I'm sharing the results with you today :)
I started off with 3 thin coats of Catrice Walk On Air and then used Butter London Rosie Lee for the glitter !  I'm actually really pleased with the way it turned out, If anyone wants to see a tutorial let me know and I'll rustle one up for ya!
Also one thing I wanted to mention about Rosie Lee is that the glitter is actually tiny square glitters, I thought they were hex shaped but no they're square and awesome :) If you enlarge the pictures you can see it more clearly!

So how do you guys feel about glitter gradients? I love it and I can guarantee you'll be seeing more of them in the near future!

BLUE WITH RAINBOW GLEQUIN STRIPES!

Hi guys, hope your enjoying your weekend! Here's a quick mani I rustled up a little while ago ! Still on a glequin kick ! I haven't done a rainbow look with them yet so I decided to give it a try !
For this mani I started off with 2 coats of Catrice Blue Cara Caio, then using a white striper polish I painted on the white stripes on each of the nails. Once that was dry I added some topcoat and stuck on the glequins and finished it with all with a coat of topcoat

I'm not crazy about it ! What do you guys think ?
Anyway be sure to tune in for my next post because I have something really awesome to share with you !

HIP QUEENS WEAR SQUARE PINK GLITTER

*this is a scheduled post*

Another layering combo for you today (I've really been loving these glitter layering combinations lately). So for this I started with 2 coats of Catrice Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans (I love it, it have gorgeous shimmer/glitter in the bottle which doesn't really translate onto the nail!) Then I applied one of coat of Essence twins Carrie (I think, I'll have to double check) Aah I loved this mani and it wasn't because it was square glitter *wink* *wink*

Gorgeous blue glitter/shimmer in the bottle which doesn't really translate onto the nails !

So do you guys like this one?

POLISH DAYS - NATURE

Welcome to another Polish Days mani !
Today's theme was nature and this was again a very much last minute thing ! I wasn't really sure what to do for this one, but last night I got the idea to do this really simple, basic world from space kind of design!
It's kind of more abstract than a real repsentation lol !
Anyways so for this I painted on one coat of Kiko 340 and the I sponged on little bits of Pure Ice French Kiss and Catrice Blue Cara Ciao. When that was dry I used a dotting tool and some green acrylic paint to freehand these random shapes and voila !

So I'm looking forward to checking out everybody's ideas :)
