NEON KOOKY NAIL WRAP NAIL ART

Hi guys, yes I'm still here! Tonight is a very quick post with these nails.
I used a base coat of Nails Inc and then cut up some of the neon Kooky wraps I had.
I made a very quick tutorial for this which I have yet to edit and I'll post soon.

RAINBOW CHEVRON NAIL VINYL TUTORIAL

Happy Saturday, how are you all?
Today I have another tutorial for you :) This is for the rainbow chevron nail art I posted yesterday. It's really easy to do but you just need a little bit of patience, so let's get cracking !
It's a little difficult to explain so I'd recommend looking at the pictures as they help explain the whole process.

What you will need:
Base Coat
7 different coloured nail polishes (one's missing from the picture) I'm using the entire OPI Neon collection and Morgan Taylor Making Waves
Chevron Nail Vinyls, I'm using these from She Sells Seashells
Tweezers
Quick dry top coat (or regular top coat and a fair bit of patience)

STEP 1 - Starting at the cuticle, paint 1/3 of your nail with the colour you want to be second in your overall design. (For a rainbow I'm doing orange first) It doesn't have to be neat

STEP 2 - Paint the middle 2/3 of the nail with the colour you want to be 4th in your overall design.
Paint the remaining top 1/3 of your nail with the colour you want to be 6th in your overall design.
Then apply fast dry top coat

STEP 3 - Once it's all properly dry apply one chevron vinyl on top of each different colour like so

STEP 4 - Use your first and 3rd colour and paint either side of the vinyl.

STEP 5 - Immediately remove the first vinyl to get a clean edge and the paint the other side of the 2nd vinyl like so

STEP 6 - Immediately remove the 2nd nail vinyl and paint the other side of the final nail vinyl.

STEP 7 - Immediately remove the final vinyl, wait a few minutes for the polish to dry and apply topcoat and you are done!

Let me know if you try this out, feel free to email me a link or tweet me or share on instagram :)

OPI NEON RAINBOW CHEVRON NAILS

Hi guys, Happy Friday! We have a bank holiday weekend here in the UK which is lovely, I don't actually have any plans other than good food and good company! Do any of you have exciting plans?
So I've seen these type of rainbow chevron nails on instagram and I knew I had to give them ago. For these I used the skinny chevron nail vinyls in this Variety pack from She Sells Seashells. I used all the polishes from the OPI Neon collection from this summer. The blue however was Morgan Taylor Making Waves.
I have a tutorial on these and that'll probably be up tomorrow.

KOOKY NEON NAIL WRAPS

Hi guys, how are you all today? The weather has been awful this past week but today I have some very bright neon nails to share with you all!
I don't believe I've ever shown nail wraps on my blog before, mainly because they tend to crease on my nails, so I was quite curious about trying these ones by Kooky.
These are the Neon Orange & Silver* design from the Neon Me collection for Summer 2014 by Kooky. Now, orange is not my favourite nail colour as you may know so when I got these I was a bit hmm but I tried them and was pleasantly surprised.
These wraps don't require any heat and are really easy to apply, select the size which is best suited to your nail, peel it off the backing (it said to apply dehydrater onto the nail but I didn't receive that it's not essential, you can just wipe your nail with acetone) Apply the wrap to the nail and I find it easier to use my finger to smooth it all down and then file off the excess at the free edge of your nail.
Simple! I did get some creases as you can see but I can live with it.
These neon wraps are so bright and they make you look so tan aswell so they're perfect for summer! I'd probably use these on holiday and you can even apply these perfectly on a plane or a train or any other mode of transport (except cycling and walking, unless you have an extra set of hands!)

I actually quite like these, and they're very convenient and easy to use. There's also several other neon designs in this collection which look just as cool!
These wraps are available here from The Beauty Partnership.

PLAYBOY NAILS

Hey guys, sorry for no post. I haven't had much time on the computer recently; the weekend should have been spent on moving rooms but Saturday and 70% of Sunday was spent cooking, eating and shopping! As a result I've spent this week sorting and tidying and moving a heck of a lot of stuff I can't even remember purchasing!
Anyways recently I was sent some Playboy nail polishes to review. I haven't tried Playboy nail polishes before and haven't really heard a lot about them so I was intrigued. The colours I received are the colours you'd probably associate with Playboy, ie. very pink, gold and of course glitter!
I got Hot Violet* which is a purple toned neon pink which is actually a unique colour in my stash! It applies beautifully and covers in 2 lovely coats. The other colour I got was Billionaire* which looks like a plain gold glitter in the bottle however when I swatched this I realised it actually contains gold flakes too which again makes the nail polish unique in my stash.
I decided to use both colours in a glitter gradient, which I haven't done in a while, I started with 2 coats of Hot Violet on all the nails and then used Billionaire to do the gradient starting from the tips (I have a tutorial here if you want to see how I do my glitter gradients). On my ring finger I used these Chevron Nail Vinyls from She Sells Seashells

These are actually quite beautiful nail polishes which I think often get overlooked. You can buy these online in many different places for roughly £2.50 - £4.00 depending on where you look, so these are definitely affordable and worth the money.
Have you tried Playboy nail polish before?

NEON PINK DIAMOND GLEQUINS

Hey peeps, how are you all? Today I have another mani using some of the awesome glequins from DesignsbyV, for these nails I used these neon pink rhombus glequins*
I wasn't sure what to pair these with, in the end I decided to go with something neutral. So I started off with a coat of Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and sponged on some Essence Got A Secret and Barry M Grey. When I applied topcoat the sponging effect more or less disappeared but I love the glequins, I haven't seen anything like them before and guess what... I love neon glequins!

Ok, I think I may have rambled a bit but my head is tonight working not properly.

CHINA GLAZE OFF SHORE COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hey guys, I hope your all having a lovely weekend, it's a bank holiday here in the UK which means 3 day weekend \o/ Yaay!
So today I have an exciting post for you. Recently I ordered some of the China Glaze Off Shore collection from Nail Polish Direct and received them mid week, unfortunately the bottle of I Sea The Point had broken in transit and ruined my bottles of Shore Enuff and Stroked To Be Soaked. They did send me replacements so I had to swatch these quickly because honestly I've not had any time this week to do anything!
I chose 6 colours from the collection and I shall share my thoughts etc below, so click on to see the swatches and read my review :)

FLUORESCENT NEON GREEN & BLUE GRADIENT NAILS

Hey guys, any one out there craving summer? Well these nails are for you :) I suggest you go and grab your sunnies before continuing.                                    Got them? Ok good.
So I have been meaning to do a blue and green gradient for ages and decided to try it out a while ago and well why not use neon colours? So for these I used China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard and Color Club Chelsea Girl (I think) and to top it all off I added a coat of Illamasqua Swarm because it's awesome!
This was so gorgeous in real life (if I may say so myself) and the colours looked amazing but this was an absolute pain in the derriére to photograph so I have had to fiddle with the colours in gimp which is why my fingers look a rather funny colour!

Look at the macro shot, don't you just LOVE it!!

NEON MINT & HOLO PURPLE CIRCLE GLEQUINS

Hey guys, how was your day? Mine was busy but I used a bone saw today and cut through somebody's mandible (not a living person!)
Anywho so I'm still quite liking neons so I used Color Club Twiggie and holo purple circle glequins for the rest of the details and then applied a generous coat of topcoat.

I love it ! I love glequins & glitter placement :)

NEON NAILS IN WINTER!

Hi guys, I don't know about you but I always feel weird typing up a post without saying hi to you all first! Lol
So I don't let the current trends, weather etc. dictate what I wear on my nails, if I want to wear eye searingly bright colours in winter I will, but often when the colder months come I do feel like wearing darker vampier shades!
So the other day I was looking at my Color Club Poptastic Set and decided I wanted to wear Wham! Pow! (orange) and Warhol (pink). I did an accent with Warhol and then just to tie it all together I added a single gold diamond glequin in the middle of each nail and voila!
Let me just tell you that this was so bright my nails were glowing, you can kind of see some glowiness around the orange in the pictures but yeah.

I love orange and pink together and I love how the simple gold glequin just brings it all together! Do you like wearing neon colours in winter or do you prefer the darker, vampier colours?

BUTTER LONDON CAKE HOLE & GLITZOLOGY CRUELLA

Hi guys, ok so I've changed my blog design! I've been meaning to update my blog design and layout for some time but I've put it off for so long mainly because I'm not the best with blog layout and html and that sort of stuff and secondly because I had no idea what to do with the design!
Today though I had a light bulb moment and thought I'll just try it out, so I created the header and messed about with page widths and backgrounds and tab colours etc. and this is what I ended up with! I think I like it but I still have some fiddling to do!

Anywho so today I have a simple layering notd to show you. I started off with two coats of Butter London Cake Hole and then applied one coat of Glitzology Cruella which I got in a blog sale.

I love black and white glitter :) do you?
