LIGHTNING NAILS

Hey guys, happy Wednesday!
So I actually did these nails on my nubs but they never made it to the blog because I just didn't think they looked right! But I loved the design so recreated them on my longer nails!
To do these nails I did a black and dark blue gradient on all the nails using Angelica nails in Black* (I can't remember the name, sorry) and Nails Inc Motcomb Street at the tips. I then added one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust on all the nails to make the nails look like the night sky. For the feature nail I used a sponge and painted pink (Playboy Hot Violet*) in the middle and a circle of purple (OPI Funky Dunkey) around it, so kind of like a circular gradient, and sponged this onto the nail. and just to finish it off I added a silver lightning nail vinyl from She Sells Seashells which you can get here

Hi guys, yes I'm still here! Tonight is a very quick post with these nails.
I used a base coat of Nails Inc and then cut up some of the neon Kooky wraps I had.
I made a very quick tutorial for this which I have yet to edit and I'll post soon.

CIATE MOSAIC COLLECTION SWATCHES *VERY PIC HEAVY*

Happy Friday guys, how has your week been? Today I have a big post for you today. When I saw the Ciate Mosaic collection I got really excited and ordered the whole collection (which is quite unlike me) I hadn't seen any good swatches of these anywhere so I couldn't make a decision about which ones to get!
I swatched these a while ago but it's taken me ages to get this post together, blogging is not easy!
These are the first Ciate polishes I've bought since the whole Caviar drama a few years ago and whilst they're by no means one of my favourite brands these are some nice nail polishes.
There are loads of pictures so click on the read more to see my swatches and review.

MAYBELLINE STREET CHIC COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hey everyone, how are you all? Well I have a tonne of revision to do and on Thursday I went and picked up the Maybelline Street Chic polishes from Boots and I wasn't going to swatch them until after my exams next week but I had a bad day yesterday and I didn't feel like working so I decided to swatch these, unfortunately I didn't have time to edit the pictures last night so I did them today and here you are :)
So I know there are more than 4 in this collection but only 4 have been released in the UK which I have to show you today!

BLUE & COPPER GLEQUINS

Hey guys, so my first semester is over, oh my gosh time goes by so quickly, I hope these next 5 years don't go by too quick, but I have a feeling they will!
Anyway I have a lot of studying to do this holiday but I'm having the rest of the week off!
So the other day I found some forgotten nails from a few months ago so I thought they'd skip the queue and I'd publish them right away.

For these nails I started off with 2 coats of Nails Inc Motcomb Street and then used some holographic copper diamond glequins for the glitter placement, I think this was my first time applying rhombus shaped glequins to my entire nail and it was trickier than it looks, hence the pretty poor placement!

NAILS INC LEATHER EFFECT - SOHO MEWS

*this is a scheduled post*

Hi everyone, today I have aa textured polish to share with you. This is Soho Mews from Nails Inc, a lovely nude. The texture in this polish is different to the texture in the OPI Liquid Sands, they are more gritty glitters whereas this is more a creme polish with bits in it.
The formula is really good, it's almost perfect in one coat but I used two out of habit. The overall effect isn't too gritty which makes the polish look like leather, which I like.
The polish comes in a set with 4 gold skull studs, a mini orange wood stick and nail glue. The skull studs are unfortunately too big for my nails, they only just managed to fit onto the thumb nail. Unfortunately the glue in my set was empty or dried up or something like that because no glue came out! Instead I used topcoat which did the job but they didn't stay on for very long.

Well, that's it guys! I must say I really like the polish even though I don't like textured polish and it's a gorgeous nude nail polish which means it's very work appropriate whilst still being very cool and interesting. The skull embellishments in the set don't last very long but I think they'd work well for an occasion.
You can pick this set up from QVC for £17!

*The products in this post were sent to me for my review. See my disclosure policy for more details
