WHERE HAVE I BEEN???!!

Hi guys, where have I been? Long story short, I've been very busy, I've lost my blogging mojo and my love of polish, I've only painted my nails 3 times this year! :o
So I have some stuff sat in my folder which I will be posting over the next God only knows how long and a few things which I need to review which you'll see soon too.
In the meantime here is OPI I Carol About You topped with Comet In The Sky and Globetrotter.

IRIDESCENT DIAMOND GLEQUIN NAILS

Hey guys, so when I did this mani I did my pinky and thought it looked pretty rubbish and so I wasn't going to continue with the other nails but then someone came round to the house and I didn't really want to see them so I stayed in my room and decided to continue, and funnily enough by the end of it I loved them, haha!
To do these then I started off with 2 coats of Deborah Lippmann Stormy Weather which I picked up cheaply in TK Maxx. I then used various different coloured iridescent glequins for the glitter placement before applying a thick coat of top coat, and because the glequins are translucent my placement is a bit sloppy here, oops!
It's not as 'in your face' as most glitter placement nails but hit the light at the right angle and you got a gorgeous flash of different colours!

Ok, so that's it for today, I have another beautiful Lippmann to show you tomorrow :)

MERMAID NAILS

This was such an amazing idea in my head and it turned into a hot mess !
I got some iridescent glequins and thought they'd look really beautiful in a mermaid themed nail art.
So you want to know how I created this mess? Well, I started with 2 coats of Kiko 341 then sponged on some Essence Choose Me, then I applied all these iridescent glequins in no perfect order, when that was dry I used Barry M Gold Foil and tried to draw on some gold scales but the surface was uneven and the lines too thick which resulted in a big mess, so I stopped after two fingers and after about 30 pictures this was the only which I could consider showing you guys!

It took me ages to do these nails and it ended in disappointment unfortunately, but hey ho, win some, lose some!
