PICTURE POLISH MOSCOW

Hey guys, so it's back to full time uni tomorrow and it looks like it's gonna be a busy, stressful rest of the year but hey I love it :) To mark the end of the holidays today I went shopping with my mummy, visited my uncles house, cooked and had a nice dinner with my parents and then watched Maleficent in our cinema :)
I thought I'd better get a blog post in tonight as well so here you go, today I have Moscow to show you from Picture Polish. I was really excited when I saw the swatches online and ordered it as soon as it came out, unfortunately I just don't love it. It strikes me as a dupe for a polish I may or may not own and it's bugging me that I can't think which polish I'm thinking of.
Anyway here I used 2 coats and no topcoat, and yes my nails are two different lengths because I wore this twice and wasn't happy with the first set of pictures I took of this.

CBL GEMINI RISING

Hey guys, life just gets in the way sometimes doesn't it and lately blogging has not been a priority so I haven't got any posts up.
So tonight I have the beautiful Gemini Rising by Colors By Llarowe, it's such a pretty green and my only holo green! It stains soo bad though, I knew this beforehand though so I wore it over a white polish and it stopped the staining :)

Then for some reason I added some dodgy clovers lol!

THE BODY SHOP WHITE LACE STAMPING

Hey guys, today I've got the gorgeous The Body Shop Colour Crush nail polish in Mint Cream* and I know it's nowhere near spring yet but this would be gorgeous for spring time.
I used 2 coats and they applied nicely like all the other Colour Crush polishes and I didn't use topcoat in the plain swatch, it was already really shiny !
I then used this lace stamping plate* from Born Pretty Store and this stamper* on the middle finger and the pinky I used a chevron nail vinyl.  I love how delicate this looks in the end

(please excuse the cut on my pinky, this was done whilst assembling a matrix band! ouch)

AMAZING LIQUID PALISADE ALTERNATIVE!

Hey guys, I hope your year is getting off to a good start!
A couple of days ago Sabine posted an instagram video using liquid latex as an alternative to Liquid Palisade and well I ordered a bottle right there and then. It came a few days ago and I am in love so it deserves it's own blog post. I hope you'll find this useful and interesting!
Word of caution: If you are allergic to Latex do not use this product.
Liquid Palisade retails for $22 for 10ml which is supposed to last for 50 manis. Liquid Latex can be found on Amazon, Ebay, craft stores for around £5 for 250ml, Sabine paid 8 Euros for 500ml so the price varies but it's a lot cheaper when compared to Liquid Palisade. I don't think you'll ever run out a bottle that size! Just ensure the liquid latex you buy is safe for sking.
The ingredients in both products are very similar but the Palisade has added pigment in it. If for some reason you want yours to be coloured instead of white/clear then you simply add a bit of acrylic paint, food colouring etc.
So does it work well? Yes it's amazing! I used to use PVA glue but it takes forever to dry and you can't use it for watermarbling so this a very good alternative, it dries super fast, it's runnier and thicker than pva so it's less likely to rip when you peel it off. You can use this on the skin around the nail to ease clean up, peel off base coat and in nail art.

I poured some into an empty nail polish bottle to make it easier to use.

Awesome! I don't have a bad word to say about it, except oh it does a little bit of a funny smell which disappears once it's dry.

LACE NAILS!

Hi everyone, I hope you're all enjoying the holidays, it's nearly the end though isn't it!
So today I have some stamping nails to share with you, I am obsessed with lace nails and they are tricky to do freehand, well for me anyway. So I am very excited about this lace stamping plate* from Born Pretty Store and this stamper*.
For these nails I just wanted classic lace nails so I used Barry M Gelly in Coconut for the base colour and then w7 Black for the stamping. This plate is awesome, the designs are pretty, well engraved and just easy to use. This was also my first time using a 'squishy' stamper and it's amazing, honestly this just makes stamping so easy I want to crack out all my plates and stamp over everything!  I highly recommend it.
