SPARITUAL OPTICAL ILLUSION & CIRCLE OF LIFE SWATCHES

Hi guys, this should have gone up last week but last week was crazy busy ! Anyway today I've got some lovely polishes from a brand which is new to me. So today I'm showing you some Sparitual polishes, I've seen their polishes dotted around the blogosphere but never actually tried them until very recently. I have two to show you today so there's quite few pictures.

First up is Circle of Life (which immediately makes me want to burst out into the song lol) It's a gorgeous electric blue which we've seen lots of recently, it's in the same colour range as Nails Inc Baker Street (which I don't own so can't compare).
The formula was nice and only required two coats to be opaque, I don't know what it is but I just didn't find the application as smooth as I was expecting, don't get me wrong it applied nicely and wasn't a problem at all but it didn't glide on, I mean I had to put in a little effort to get a nice shape around the cuticle.
It was really glossy without topcoat as well, I didn't apply one in the photos.

So the other polish I have to show you is Optical Illusion, which may be a dupe for China Glaze Zombie Zest! It's not a pretty colour, it's like a swampy slimy green, but it's loaded with gorgeous fleck which flash green and a bit of gold. There is quite a strong teal duochrome in the bottle which isn't as visible on the nail.
This is on the sheer side and in the photos I used 3/4 coats, at 3 coats there was still some visible nail line.
The formula for this is perfect though and each coat dries quickly.

Ok, so overall both polishes are beautiful, they may not be the most original colours but that doesn't stop them being gorgeous. The formula is lovely, the brush is just right and the rubber cap looks great but is also helpful when applying the polish.
Would I recommend these? Yes I would!
Optical Illusion is £9.75 and Circle of Life is currently on sale for only £5, and they're both available here for those of you in the uk.

*The products in this post were sent to me for my review. See my disclosure policy for more details

OPI INK

For some reason I had it in my head that OPI Ink was a htf, not sure why! Anywho I saw this on holilday and was going to get it but I'm not really happy spending £11.50 on an OPI so I didn't buy it but when I got home I got it in a lot of polishes I bought.
I'm so glad I did get it though because it's gorgeous ! Here is 3 coats with one coat of topcoat.

Such a gorgeous blue/purple shimmery duochrome! Do you have this?

CAVIAR AND BLINIS NAILS

I'm so happy it's Friday, I don't really have any plans, I'm just looking forward to spending the weekend playing with some of my new polishes. What are your plans?

Anywho I don't really like the whole caviar nail things but the other day (when I say the other day I actually mean 2 weeks ago, hehe ) I had this awesome idea which I haven't seen anywhere else ! Using the little caviar beads as caviar on my nails! So caviar goes with blinis.

So I started off with 2 coats of Essie Well Red (I think), then using OPI San Tan Tonio I drew on irregular circles on to the nail using the polish brush, then using a little bit of cling film/saran wrap I dabbed on some brown polish (I can't remember which one) just onto the circles I'd drawn previously. I then applied a bit of topcoat in the center of the circle and dipped my finger into a pot of black caviar beads and voila !

I don't think I like caviar, I think I've tried it once but can't really remember, but I'm so happy with how these turned out, hehe!
What do you guys think?

OPI DON'T TALK BACH TO ME & TEXTURED TAPED TIPS

So I actually did these nails when I got back from my holiday to the south coast! I picked up both OPI The mini Oz collection and OPI Don't Talk Bach To Me (which was on sale) on the ferry to France.
I didn't paint my nails on holiday because to be honest our cottage was horrible, like the worst cottage we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in plenty), and it was small so I didn't want to stink the place out with  nail polish, also we went exploring every day and ended up getting back quite late every night and after that we'd all be cream crackered!

Anywho so when I got back home I sat and stared at my new polishes and waited for inspiration to strike and well I ended up with this !
This is 2 coats of OPI Don't Talk Bach To Me, I then used striping tape at the tips and OPI What Wizardry is This? I was too impatient to let me contrast between the textured polish and the regular polish show through so I applied a nice thick layer of topcoat.

As you can see I was maybe a little too impatient and knocked my pinky!

NUDE & BLUE POLKA DOTS

I have not done polka dots in such a long time ! So for this I started with two coats of OPI San Tan Tonio and then used a dotting tool and created some polka dots using Essie Butler Please and then I applied topcoat!
Simple, but so cute !

SOME RANDOM DOODLING WITH ACRYLIC PAINT

I recently bought a new set of acrylic paints and I was really looking forward to trying out the colours, so I started off with two coats of Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and then used burgundy, forest green and mustard acrylic paints and a fine nail art brush to draw on these random patterns.
I wasn't going to post this but often I find manis I don't really like some of you guys do so I thought hey I'll post it, it might inspire somebody :)

SPONGED PASTEL RAINBOW NAILS !

So the last time I watched The Rise of The Planet of The Apes, the image of Ceasers window stuck in my head and so when I sat down to do my nails I ended up with this.
I started off with one coat of w7 White and then I sponged on Butter London Jasper, Kiko 340 and a pink, purple and a green Color Club. I then used white acrylic paint to draw on the rest of the detail before topcoating it all.

CRISS CROSS GRADIENT TAPE NAILS

I hope you guys all enjoyed your weekend, these past 4 days for me have been crazy !
Anyway quite a few months ago I saw a gorgeous mani on Instagram by Nailing Around, where over a nude colour she used tape to make a criss cross effect with striping tape and sponged over a blue, purple and green gradient, which is exactly what I did here !
Mine didn't turn out anywhere as amazing as hers did but it still looks ok !

I used China Glaze Sydney Sand as my nude colour and then used 3 Color Club polishes for the gradient.

I'm still very much a novice when it comes to tape manis so don't judge too harshly!
I hope you all have a nice start to the week tomorrow :)
