BLUE IKAT NAILS

So this morning I purged over 100 polishes, it definitely wasn't easy but I'm glad I've done it, I now have room for more polishes yay! Also today I managed to trap my middle finger in the sliding door above my bed and it's still throbbing, thankfully my nail is still in tact !
Anywho I've been seeing loads of Ikat print nails popping up and I decided to try it out for myself I went for a blue colour scheme for my first try !
The base colour is Kiko 339 and the rest of the detail is black and white acrylic paint and Kiko 337 ! I made a tutorial for this design too for you guys, I'll probably post that tomorrow now !

GREEN TEA & BLACK GLITTER

Do you guys have a polish which you love but its brush/formula/application makes you want to cry ?
Well today I'm showing you mine, namely Sally Hansen's Green Tea.
I picked this up in Poundland and it is the perfect mint green colour for me, seriously I find it really flattering on my skin tone and it's just gorgeous. Unfortunately the brush on this is appalling, so bad that it took me 3 times as long to paint my nails.
I tried trimming the brush but it made very little difference. To hide some of the imperfections in the base colour I topped it all off with one coat of Fergie's Wet 'n Wild Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night (which I love!)

FRAMED GLEQUIN NAILS

Hi guys, so I am loving gleequins recently, I mean I'm completely obsessed and have to use them in every mani in some way, shape or form! I work in the afternoons and evenings so I have quite a lot of free time at the moment which is why I can spend a lot of time on my nails :)
So for this I started off with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Instadri Whirlwind White and then I used the blue and green glequins in the Born Pretty set and just placed them in a framed pattern !

I really liked it, it was insanely sparkly and reflective !

ILLAMASQUA POKE WITH SOME NAIL ART

Hi guys, so I'm back off holiday! We had an amazing time but came back really tired. Our family holidays are not for relaxing; they are little adventures and we rarely get any rest, I don't see the point of going to a new country and spending the majority of your time in the hotel and not exploring! So when we got back yesterday I headed straight to bed and ended up sleeping for 18 hours straight lol! (I didn't get any sleep on holiday at all!)
Anywho back home now, so today I'll show you a polish I picked up in the Illamasqua sale. I'm not a big purple lover so I'm not sure why I got this, maybe because it looked unique? I'm not sure if I'll be reaching for it again though !
It's a pretty purple with silver shimmer which dries to a satiny finish, it needs about 2/3 coats, I used 2 and the formula is good. It was impossible to photograph as it just looked too blue and the first few photos are without topcoat

Finally because I liked the name I drew on a finger which was supposed to look like it was poking someone/thing but it turned into a fail and in an attempt to save it I wrote 'poke' onto the pointy finger and then topcoated it all. Unfortunately it was still a fail in my books !

What do you guys think about this one then? Do you like poke?

HIP QUEENS WEAR SQUARE PINK GLITTER

*this is a scheduled post*

Another layering combo for you today (I've really been loving these glitter layering combinations lately). So for this I started with 2 coats of Catrice Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans (I love it, it have gorgeous shimmer/glitter in the bottle which doesn't really translate onto the nail!) Then I applied one of coat of Essence twins Carrie (I think, I'll have to double check) Aah I loved this mani and it wasn't because it was square glitter *wink* *wink*

Gorgeous blue glitter/shimmer in the bottle which doesn't really translate onto the nails !

So do you guys like this one?

GOLD & PURE JOY

*this is a scheduled post*

Today I have another layering combo I wasn't going to post this initially because I didn't really like it but I may be being slightly biased because I don't really like gold and I thought 'hey someone may like it'
So for this I did 2 coats of Orly Glitz & Glamour (my favourite gold ever!) and then I topped it with one coat of China Glaze Pure Joy. The gold in Pure Joy kind of got disappeared against the gold background which meant it just ended up looking like red glitter over a gold !

So there you go, what do you guys think?

FLORMAR & CHINA GLAZE PURE JOY

*this is a scheduled post*

So this is a quick combo I threw together a while ago.
I love the combo of purple and red, I don't know what it is but I love love love the combo; so for this I started with one coat of Flormar (can't remember the number now but I'll update it when I get it out) I topped that off with one coat of China Glaze Pure Joy !
I loved it, Pure Joy went on quite densely but otherwise it was all good :)

So do you ove the combo of purple and red?

CHINA GLAZE RUNNING IN CIRCLES

*this is a scheduled post*

Hey guys, this is my first scheduled post as I'm on holiday, be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter to keep up with my adventure.
So  today I'm showing you the final polish I got from the Cirque Du Soliel collection. I initially passed on this but ordered it at the last minute and boy am I glad I did, this is beautiful and unbelievably gorgeous green polish !
Below is 2 coats, you can see some gorgeous purple and teal in the bottle which doesn't really translate onto the nail, well you can see a teal shift on the nails in some lights.

This is one of the angles where it looks more teal

So gorgeous.
