30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 30 - INSPIRED BY A TUTORIAL

easy peasy lemon squeezy who's tutorial i was going to use , this is all thanks to nailside's tutorial : ) 
i'd have loved to do the explosion mani and tried twice and failed so badly, i went with this !

pointer finger and accent are no7 poolside blue and the middle and pinky are misa throw me something purple ! 

grey is avon wet cement, which is a matte and dries before you've put the brush back in the bottle, which may be the reason my lines aren't very good and the tiny bit of green is revlon emerald city matte 

lines are no where near as crisp as hers or neat loll, i am clearly a novice when it comes to tape mani's loll, but practise makes perfect!

what can i say ? clueless ! loll in the end i decided on something that didn't quite seem to translate so well on the nail ! i was so tempted to do something halloweeny, (*cough* jacko-lantern *cough*) loll

i didn't want to do the usual predictable union jack or england flag, i wanted something a bit different and so i decided to do the south african flag ! 

i wasn't sure if this actually looked like the flag, but my little brother seemed to identify it quite quickly and when i asked him how he recognised it ... i saw it on the football ! loll

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 27 - INSPIRED BY ARTWORK

*hangs head* ladies, i'm very sorry i didn't post these on time, but i've been really ill for the past few days but because of personal statements and stuff i've had to drag myself into school, and then by the time i've got home again i had to go to bed because i felt so weak and ill : (  all these mani's i've done today, i'm still not well but i really didn't want to leave this challenge unfinished, and i was so tired , this morning i had some work experiance at a dental surgery in beeston and so had to be up and early, when i finished there i went straight to school at two, went to my chemy lesson, came home and then sat down for two minutes and then our cousins came round and i got 2 hours where i sat down and did all these remaining mani's and i couldn't post them because my cousins have just gone now and i'm feeling ill again, i really hope i'm better by wednesday because i've got my ukcat exam on wednesday ! anyway hee is the art work mani

another quick post, inspired by prada ! 

the pink is a franken i made a while ago and i lovee !

i love this photo as you can see the shimmer in the pink base colour : )

my middle finger is the favourite, don't know what happened on the pinky and the swallows ate too much on the accent nail but imo, look lovely on the middle finger ! : )

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 24 - INSPIRED BY A BOOK

so atm i'm reading mini shopaholic by sophie kinsella, but i didn't want to do that on my nails, i was initially going to do the lion the witch and the wardrobe (one of my favourite books of all time) but i didn't have enough time so i thought aahh i'll do the mr men, i loved all the mr men and tried to read them all when i was little, we couldn't afford all the books when i was little so we borrowed them from the library, this was kind of where my love for books started, you may say i'm a big nerd lolll, but i do love to get lost in a good book :O

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 23 - INSPIRED BY A MOVIE

I racked my brains over this one, had so many idea's and in the end i listened to my brother and went with

(oh damn), i just saw it says soundtrack on it, oh well never mind !

i did the tie on the accent nail (which happens to be my favourite nail also loll) there's a hockey stick on the middle finger after their hockey match, the little finger is supposed to be 'the girl with the pearl earring' but erm ... i'm not sure this is good enough to end up in the national gallery loll and the pink splodges too that are on the 1st piccy

i hope you like this mani and if you've not seen this movie i highly recommend it ! loll

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 22 - INSPIRED BY A SONG

Let me just start of by saying i'm sorry recent mani's haven't been up to my usual standard but i've honestly had very little time to do my nails, but i really want to keep up with this challenge, 

anyway on to today, i was pondering about this mani for a while ! and then whilst looking through my ipod i came across one song which seemed like the obvious choice! 

' baby your a firework, come and show 'em what your worth as you shoot across the sky...'

i love this song soo much i listened to it sooo much ! loll

anyway here is a quick mani for now 

not quite what it looked like in my head but oh well here 

base for this isnt black, its a gorgeous dark blue jelly type (really shiny but not sheer) by jessica 

it's supposed to be fireworks, but it didn't quite work out ! loll

anyway i'll talk to you ladies very soon then

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 21 - INSPIRED BY A COLOUR

ok, can't explain how i came up with this one, i thought envy, = green, and i picked up my new revlon emerald city, perfect opportunity to try it : ) 

with top coat, i love it !!

i love this nail polish, application was a breeze, dried quick, colour is gorgeous, who wouldn't be envious of this mani loll, hopefully tomorrows should be exciting

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 20 - WATER MARBLE (NO CLEAN-UP)

my last watermarble was the most miserable fail ever, but i have been aching to try it again and this was the perfect opportunity. i also want to make this post into a little tutorial thingy well, no anyway my biggest hate of water marbles was the clean up aaargh, it was the biggest turn off, so when i did my water marble for this mani i taped my fingers up well and good and all the pictures i'm going to show you are COMPLETELY NO CLEAN UP WHAT SO EVER ! all the pictures you see are like 30 seconds after i'd taken my fingers out of the water !! 
first i'll show you how it turned out 

lately i've really been loving matte and i love this much more matte !  

ok so yes, it's not the most perfect watermarble ever but it may possible by one of the cleanest loll

anyway i'll show you a picture of how i did it (sort of)

ok so like i said i taped up my fingers really well and around the cuticles 

this is what my fingers looked taped up before i dipped them in  *excuse appalling state of nails*

i made sure the tape covered my cuticles and pressed it down with my nail to makes sure it didn't lift or anything and i got the tape under the nails again

i think i'll make a separate post with better picz on how i taped up my nails, if you're interested, if you do want to see that post then leave me a comment

30 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 19 - GALAXIES

 galaxies nails have always been spinning in my head and this is the first time i did it and i have to say it's by no means perfect and it is quite different to all the other galaxy nail art you see out there but i actually really quite like this
(expect lots of pictures!)

then i mattified it all and the result.... 

I LOVE IT !!
